Just not “When in Rome, do as the Romans do!”
It’s more like “When in Rome, play by the Romans rules!”
Just one more reason @BigMike55, to be thankful that we live here and this place is worth protecting. Period.
There is no way, speaking as a woman; I would leave Canada in these times and go anywhere I wasn’t protected by the Human Rights and Freedoms I’ve grown up with and raised my own children under.
Even those freedoms in this country come under question and are under fire daily, here!
Also another example of why , when going to any other country. You should familiarize yourself with the laws concerning marijuana for that country, and if prohibited/illegal, NEVER try to take it with you! Get some after you get there and through customs! It’s almost always available, anywhere you go.
Totally agree! One never knows till it’s too late!!
Have done it before, wouldn’t do it again!!
I have a hard time caring about self inflicted wounds which this 100% was. Granted the sentence is excessive but she asked for it. Stupid sometimes comes with a big bill.
I agree. That was a boneheaded thing to do. It seems that she, probably, has been handed that max prison sentence and fine because Russia wants to put more leverage on the negotiation for prisoner exchange that will take place. I too feel it difficult to feel much pity for someone that blatantly sure of her privileged status. That may be a reach but that’s just my opinion.
Well she certainly thought for some reason she could get away with it. I’ve watched some specials on Russia prisons. They aint no joke. The guards have dogs and carry ak47s or whatever kind of machine gun. Mmmmkay. Ill stay here in my own yard. The grass is greener here.
Dry weight
Just got some mendo breath. Doesn’t pack as much a punch as I expected.
Wait they have weed in other countries ?!
I agree though, you’ll find it. No need to carry it.
yeah, but only like one or two of them.
It just isn’t worth the risk.
While I think this is a result of a popular athlete suffering from entitlement and privilege, let’s not pretend it’s a fair system. I don’t think victim blaming is the solution, as easy as it might be to judge her. I think we have all broken the laws around cannabis at one point or another, and we would want sympathy. The system is broken and we cope by saying people should know better.
All The mendo breath I’ve had all smacked and had great flavor
I thought in some US states weed used to be 20 years.
I’ll admit I’m ignorant of international law but I also thought it was still federally illegal the in US.
Also when they tear your car apart at the border, they don’t help you put it back together.
lol the ‘system’ is what it is, and you play by the rules, or pay the consequences if caught. I agree with you in that we’ve all probably broken the law at one time or another concerning ganja, but that was a risk taken and the choice is personal to each. Don’t cry if you get busted. Anyone knows the risk going in.
I believe it was in the '60s someone got like 1000 yrs each for 2 joints! lol I believe the sentence was commuted later though
That was in Texas
I just googled this and, it seems to be ‘urban legend’ apologies lol
But Texas does hand out stiff sentences!
It has great flavor for sure but the LA wifi i have puts me to sleep and this doesn’t
I have to agree with you here, I’m sure the vast majority, if not every user on this forum have broken cannabis laws. If not, they were born/live in a place that is legal because of those who broke cannabis laws.
She’s a pawn in a political game. Their goal was to trade her for the guy the movie Lord of War is based on, a notorious weapons dealer.
It’s a messed up situation, and a sad fact that anyone has to face incarceration for the herb.
