Agreed, Mendo Breath had me under-impressed lol
Everything is bigger in Texas!
Haha forgive me but most of my US knowledge comes from TV and Movies. Come to think of it I donāt even really know my own local laws.
That sign was in my home state of Nevada I believe. Oh it says it, duh!
I definitely dig the flavor but yeah seems like a daytime smoke sort of thing.
But my thing is I smoke so much daytime smoke turns me into a sleepy bastard anyway
She is not a victim, she caused her own problem. Sorry but knowingly taking illegal drugs into Russia of all places is moronic. They were not planted on her, she brought this on herself. People use the phrase victim blaming in the wrong way sometimes IMO. When one creates the issue all on their own knowingly I canāt call them a victim.
Yes we have all broken the law I am sure. Still dealing with charges from over 12 years ago after being ratted out by an asshole who traded his problem by creating one for me. Thing is I take responsibility for what happened as I created the circumstances. I knew I should not have had all that weed, how they ended up in my house with a warrant is irrelevant.
While I am sure she is being used as a pawn the only reason that is even possible is because she knowingly put herself in that situation. Personal responsibility is something to many are lacking IMO. You can bet 100% she knew she was taking a risk, she did it intentionally and got caught. Now itās time to pay the price for her own actions.
Fun fact, many of the bored looking janitors in Cuban airports are actually packing automatic weapons in the trash carts they push around.
A family friend discovered this the exciting way when his new puppy got too friendly with his luggage before his Cuban getaway. Went from a casual stroll through the airport to being surrounded at gunpoint in seconds.
I suppose the real takeaway is that regardless of your destination, youāre an uninvited guest.
The premise I disagree with is that we should accept the punishment for our actions, as if it was justified. Should slaves have gratefully accepted the risk of escaping?
All we are doing is growing a plant and consuming it. The issue is not what we do with this plant. The issue is that most people accept the paradigm that this plant is outlawed and that the risks associated with it are justified. I donāt agree with that.
In fact, the war on drugs has been utilized explicitly to oppress impoverished communities of color. This isnāt conjecture, its documented. So I would say itās very dismissive to claim that people should accept the risk of having herb on them and suffer in jail or prison because of that. Thatās a broken system and I think itās messed up that so many people are willing to accept it as it comes.
When i hire contractors to work on my property i tell their boss āi better not find any cigarette butts on my fkn property from these guysāā¦i donāt have cig butts on my property
As a kid I would say to my dad ā but thatās not fair!ā To which he would respond ā lifeās not fair.ā
Sorryā¦i saw the word texas go by and got skeeredā¦figured id hang out and see what was being said about texas lol
Is everything really bigger in Texas, or is that just an expression?
Itās trueā¦the walk to my mailbox is a quarter mile, just as an example
I miss new jersey though. Northwest new jersey in autumn is magicalā¦down here itās just greenā¦then dead brown. No pretty fall colors where im at
Eloquently stated. While I agree with the sentiment 100%, when choosing a hill to die on I try to pick one closer to home.
Comparing an entitled moron who knowingly brought illegal drugs into someplace like Russia with slaves escaping is just ridiculous. So is arguing the legality of the plant. Also the war on drugs has no baring on this. She knew it was wrong, she chose to do it anyway, she got caught. Pretty simple really.
The fact is that I agree with you that the war on drugs is stupid and also that the plant should be legal. Problem is that those things have no connection to this. This is simply about someone foolishly taking a stupid chance in hopes of getting away with something they knew was against the rules of the country she was visiting and getting caught.
Thatās literally the war on drugs though? Imprisoning people because they possess drugs.
The āWar on Drugsā is/was a US policy.
Basically feels like you think if someone is entitled and stupid, they deserve to rot in a metal cage for a decade. I agree that they are entitled and stupid. I disagree that they deserve to go to jail for near 10 years.
I think most people respect what you have to say on here Dougā¦and fuck 'em if they donāt.
I think we all disagree with Cannabis laws, locally or abroad. In a way itās what brings us all together
