Check out my perpetual grow!

I’ve got a bit till I pop some regular seeds. But definitely going to take this and give it a try.

A check in on the face off ladies who just got watered to runoff the other day and it looks like 1 lady is not happy. They all got veg water and then some recharge after setting for a bit before hitting them with it. 1 lady looks like she didn’t like the ph or something. Just 1 plant tho and she didn’t get treated any differently

I assume it’s in the same medium and not holding the water back more than the others?

Yeah they are all in the same medium (rehydrated canna coco bricks no additives) and im not sure what you mean by that? Like she’s not using up as much of the nutes or something so the medium is more loaded?

No, I was just wondering if she had held onto more water between one watering and the next. I grow in soil and add some Perlite to my soil mix. Once I got too much of it in a pot and the dang thing wouldn’t hold water like the others. She about died before I realized she was going dry very shortly after watering. The pot was light when I finally checked between watering. That’s how I figured it out.
I’ve never grown in coco. Just spitballing. lol

I don’t use any perilite that’s what I mean by no additives as most people will do a 70/30 blend or 70/20/10 and mix in perilite and earthworm castings. I went ahead and flushed the one plant with some ro water at 0.1 ec and 6.5 ph. The 1st solo cup runoff is the 1st picture and was higher than I’d like so I went ahead and did 1 more solo cup of ro water to flush her out and that’s the 2nd pic. The last pic is giving the girls a bit more room because they weren’t that crowded Thursday lol

Just an update on the face off ladies. So last night I did water one to runoff with nutrient water then checked runoff I was at like 3.2 ec with a 1.7 ec input and talking with @leetdood he said that’s too high and I was overfeeding my seedlings. I didn’t think about it because I’m so used to feeding full strength jacks 321 with little to no repercussions so I went ahead and diluted my water to a 40% strength blend at 0.9 ec and then flushed all the plants bringing them from a 2.0 ec to about a 1.2-1.7 ec after 1 8oz flush. I might do 1 more plain watering when they are thirsty again so they use up all those nutes before I start using the 40% strength up tho to play it safe

OGs can be picky, they like nutrients but not TOO much nutrients, just ask @TopShelfTrees1

Ya OG’s are a finicky bunch (most) but once dialed you’ll get em all pretty much. Many many people have problems with OG’s trust me

Yup,

In my experience it’s a specific watering style (loompas is different from irene or tahoe) then medium feed (not too high, not too low) and extra calcium.

I give everything mad calcium EVERYTHING . :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I feed cal nitrate, so I feel like if I feed that it should hopefully be enough.

I might need to amend gypsum and lime next run though, let’s see how hot the soil is first.

I use kelzyme dry amendments and then cal mag to water plus I add micronized calcium in the begining to all coco mixes

ok so ya when i water.

mag + cal-nite spray

next time out

cal-nite + mag spray

i do that through out the veg cycle and tapper it off once i get going in flower, tw0 3 weeks into flower that pretty much comes to an end, i will if i think its needed give them a bump in either if i see they need it.

once going to flower then the fert’s start along with any bud boosters i might be working with at that time. right now i use to as i move through the flower cycle.

Ummm Yeah I can attest to that. Even in dirt.

I’m outta likes once more! Fountain of information from everyone thanks! Glad i got friends like you guys to call upon for help! I’ve been thinking about doing a cal mag foliar feeding is that essentially what your referring to @JAWS? I see you just use specific sprays and not a 2 in one why is that?
