I am a bit of a lush, I’ll admit it, but I try to be crafty too. So I’ve been saving some particular empties in hopes of using them for something and then I played with the idea of this…
What do you all think of using liquor bottles as a challenge container? Fairly standard size, 750ml, even wine bottles count. The goal would be to produce a harvest through the challenge of a unique, or at least pretty, bottle.
I recently watch a friend of a friend get tossed around by 6 bouncers because he was too drunk to sit down and shut up… if you don’t want to drink- please don’t on my account.
Actually, you can find bottles at the craft store too… so say you measure the volume with water and they come out < or = to 750ml you’re ok. But then it breaks a rule I wanted; you must have drank the entire bottle yourself for high honors. Just recycled for honors.
Wait… did my stoner brain just fix the rule as I tried to explain it? +2 if you drained it, only +1 if someone else did the work…. All points are arbitrary. Lol.
Ok… cementing things up here, and leaving a signup.
Rule 1: All seeds/clones must be planted in the bottles between March 13th-19th.
Rule 2: The plant must stay contained within the bottle at all times, including roots.
Rule 3: The bottle must be 750ml or less, but does not need to be glass or a liquor bottle.
Goal is to grow for weight, and beauty of container voted on by participants. If you drank all the contents of the container +2 points. +1 points for recycling alone. Contest winner will be given three seeds of each strain of their own selection from my meager collection. The contest will end after 90 days. Weekly updates appreciated.
@ChemicalDependant clone vs seed would be tough considering clones would have a huge advantage to someone growing from seed. Maybe switch to seed only to make it more interesting?
Not usually one for the challenge threads, and I haven’t drank more than a beer in nearly a decade, but I’ve gotta chime in on the clone issue. There’s definitely an advantage for clones, if they start rooted. If they start as cuttings, maybe… maybe also a size limit for the cuttings of a few nodes, 3-4 perhaps? That seems like it would be a bit more balanced.
