My veg girls were so dry it was like the top of the soil had hardened…has anyone experienced that? I had to claw at the top layer to break it all up because the water was just shedding to the outer rim
You can put a little dish soap in your water it helps the water penetrate.
Forgot the fancy word for that.
Also leaves that touch the tent can sometimes change color don’t know if it’s from excess heat or the color silver?
Touching plants do perspire and will blister and sweat.
It’s just unavoidable unless you got unlimited space
Damn ! I was hoping for some solid specimens from these lol
I will have to wait them to foliate again and push some new growth. . . I cut all the growth aside from the limbs lol.
I’m not ready for clones anyways …
Thanks for the response!
I just fed nutes for the start of week 5. Day 36…
I also dropped one of my lights 4”
Still lots of coverage . .
Half way through the sour Jacks I guess… onn a 10 week schedule.
Not as fat As I’d like them to be…however everything is looking healthy. So I can’t complain. Lots of frostying around buds and sugary leafs.
The birthday cake is a whole different beast… . I’ve got a clone of it / mother now lol it’s bigger than the flowering one. . … i think it’s going to be a keeper
So much more I wish I could try out. … really tempted to start doing solo cup runs to try new genetics.
I need to transplant my veggginnplants.
I don’t want to lose space but i also don’t want them having root bound issues . . …
I’m very happy i joined O.G. When I did. Very happy to have made connections with so many of you, I am very grateful for all your help , kindness . Generosity and inclusivity (wtf??lol) .
WEll—
Just went through my journal to my week 4 on my first grow…
Seems the buds doubled in size by that time??
I guess I am growing mainly sativa this time compared to indicas.
But still. The chem 91 I had grown beefed up significantly too.
I do have many small bud sites over large ones, so My yield may in fact be higher - it definitely will be… the flowering time is also 3+ weeks longeer, so I am only half way through .
Was really hoping for some monster colas , however I may not have the genetics or skills yet.
I think I really lucked out on my first grow with the 9LB hammer. … . .
Very nice to be able to Flick through the journal and compare to previous runs.
Let’s hope my week 5 is a banger and they put on some weight!!
The other difference is , i had some blurples running on the sides of the tent along with My LED
Pan light… so might have to reintroduce those
Some of my June pre-harvest plant for inspiration.
Not sure what happened differently…either the new light I bought is absolute junk, or I’m impatient…either way. . . Hopefully I hit 2.5 oz per plant again . I was extremely pleased with my first grow. And am still pleased with my second . Just not seeing the fat colas I wanted lol can’t have it all. Stoked to run my 3rd flower…I could start it now to be honest but it would be under blurples.
Crawling into day 39/40 through the middle of week 5
They got a heavy nutrient feeding 2 days ago.
None are really blowing up in diameter yet, lots of consistency .
The Birthday Cake is currently taking the proverbial CAKE right now! Shaping up like some decent popsicle size colas now, very nice stank, and Lots of white frosted leaf. Darkish orange hairs, and healthy dark green foliage. The smell on it VERY aromatic. I am glad I have a clone of it and chances are I will re-run it , my mothers is very spindly butt ripe for clones .
The sour Jacks are just frosting up now and starting to give a very fresh citrus smell . . . Needless to say. I will have a couple jars that will last me all through 2022… I found the last time I had two of the same strain Fromm clone , i could have done without.
From now on, unless I really like the plant, or If from seed, I will just be doing one of each variety. It is called a variety for a reason.
Really hoping for the girls To take to this nutrient feed and bulk up a bit!! Being a bit impatient , but I am more than happy with the girls recovery. They were 97.5% dead 7 weeks ago . So it’s a miracle grow for SURE.
If I call this Saturday the end of week 5/ start of week 6, then I’m looking at 3 more weeks /21 days to harvest BDAY CAKE
Going to be a Halloween harvest ! And then a busy November trimming sour jack LOL
I will post some photos on day 42 ( Saturday )
Can’t believe I am this far into my second grow!!!
Not at all. Old woody growth roots different, if at all. Pinning to the ground might root it, but really, soft green stems are much better for making clones…
Girls are running into day 42. A watering for tomorrow!
Sour jacks have maintained a steady production of flowers and trichs. I am pretty sure they have another 3-4 weeks ahead of them!!
The bday cake could be ready in 2 weeks.
Unfortunately I am very busy with work and falling behind…it’s not going to be a enjoyable harvest…as I am under alot of stress and only see it getting more stressfull
Apologize for the “more of the same” photos.
The BIRTHDAY cake has the firey red hairs!
Took my girls out of tent for they’re splash pad day.
X
Cleaned out the tent / sprayed it down / aired it out while they had they drink. Almost 20L between. The 4 7gals
Not much drain off at all. I was doing a few chores also so maybe they absorbed the run off…
I think.ill.be doing one more feeding for the BDAY cake . Then flush
The SJ-s gonna get another 2 feedings over the next 4 weeks.
Everything is looking good me. . Going to break out my digital loupe.soon. exciting!!
Need to get my veg plants ready to transplant and clone then flip.
The buds are not very dense at the moment. Which is possibly.normal.with asativa dominant plant
I recall.my 9lb hammer colas were super dense even 4 weeks In. With a 56 day flower time
Not sure if the light I have is a bit too weak…I’m a light addict… will.be upgrading lol
Exxxxxxcellennnttttt
I am happy I am happy lol.
I can’t expect much more from my self really . They pretty much grow onn they’re own !!
Lol I resuscitated them a couple times - so this is fantastic to even make.it this close to a harvest .
