Ya got it looking damn nice, my friend. Great looking plants, I know you’ll enjoy the result of your labors when you sit back after all the trimming and such! lol
Good to hear your happy with it!
I sprouted some for outdoors this year but unfortunately they were males.
I will give them another try sometime.
Unfortunately today things aren’t looking as good as they did before.
Was a windy night last night, and alot of rain. Most of the plants got their asses kicked from it.
It was a sad sight to see, but its the way it goes when growing outdoors.
It is also my fault, for not adding the plant stakes. I should have done that along time ago.
So I am a bit at myself.
I have now added plant stakes to some, but I need to buy more longer ones.
Here is the (Blockhead x Mikado) x C99
I am going to trim some branches and add plant stakes in the next day or two.
A Frankenstein that lost its lower branches. I should have trimmed them off anyways.
ChemDawg x Meat Breath lost its lower branches as well.
Gambian x Blueberry auto flower that was pollinated with Doug’s Sweet and Sour Cindy pollen.
It took things pretty well…
I am going to just chop it down tonight though.
Dooligah Freak
Berry Freak
The Space Bound Kush is perfectly fine.
Bunch of branches that said seeya later.
Some of the plants after being staked up.
I wish I could be more on top of things. Unfortunately my back doesn’t cooperate though.
Also some how pulled an abdominal muscle the other day. First time I’ve pulled one of them, very painful.
Next year I am only growing in big ass pots. No more garden beds. Be much more easy to maintain. That Morning Glory vine takes over the garden beds pretty damn quick.
Going to have a talk with my cats tonight. If they want their damn treats they can start helping out in the garden. Bunch of free loaders.
hard to like that one
ya never know? may just be some mother nature high stress training on them plants. .
fluff them up kick them around a bit more .give all the plants some tlc & feed and you might be surprised with your best ever crop. ya just never know outdoor. i am in your corner rooting for you and the plants…
DAMN! That was some strong winds ya got, brother. Sorry to see the damage. but they still look good and I’m sure with your care they’ll give up a lot of good smoke!
Shit bro, sorry to see that damage. Wish I coukd be an early warning system for ya. But we didn’t get it that bad yesterday.
Today it poured though.
You need to make it one big bed, @THCeed style. Get some equipment for mulching up the cow shit and to make it easier on the back.
A roll of netting on amazon is $30 for 250’. Get some on early next year. I had a Bruce banner last season that was so big I didn’t think it needed anything. Came home from a short trip with my wife and every single branch was snapped off and laying around the stem. Luckily it was finished. Self harvesting? Hope they recover well for you
Thanks for the comments everyone!
Last night I pollinated an “Alien Gloo” and a “Geeked Out Encounter”, both are autoflowers from @repins12
The pollen was LSD from @DougDawson
The pistils are showing signs of being pollinated which is good. The pollen survived the trip across Canada during high temperatures and the pollen was still viable.
In case anyone is wondering my method of pollinating without pollinating everything else outside… I bring the plants inside, pollinate them with a fine paint brush, let them sit for a few hours. Bring them outside and use the garden hose to soak them. Then I put them back in the backyard.
Alien Gloo
Geeked Out Encounter
Fantastic, glad it was still viable bud. Plants look great.
are you going for fast photos or working the LSD towards an auto?
Thanks again Doug!
@mainerJ I am just going for fast photos.
Here are some of the other auto flowers I got growing in the backyard.
Queens Banner from @Kyleromero94
Zamaldelica Express from @RainToday
Dirty Laundry from a member no longer here on OG @Growinghigher
Ogre Berry from @Mr.Sparkle
Snow Capped Abductions from @repins12
Looking great bro
I’m out of likes, but I it! Looking great! Thanks for sharing
Grasshopper that was hanging out on my outdoor water nutrient mixing barrel.
Grasshopper jumped and flew away after I got the pic. I am pretty sure he gave me one of these.
A Dooligah Freak from @lilmanbigplan
Space Bound Kush from @DannyTerpintine
(Blockhead x Mikado) x C99 from @smokenhike
Some autoflower plants
I didn’t think these plants would get this big, but they did.
This Frankenstein in the photo below is the first plant to be showing signs of flowering.
All the other plants better start flowering soon or they won’t finish in time…
I forgot to get a pic of a bunch of other plants, but next update I will.
Nice looking plants block head x mikado pretty sure your gonna like that one. That kush is a looker she needs a good leave picking to see all the bud sites . lol
So please share a little information the ABC plant if you will. Are they grown as a novelty item? I am assuming they produce buds but are the buds of a quality a consumer might be interested in smoking or vaping or edibles?
Are any of those autos the queens banner still? How tall did she get?
I grew some Blockhead x Mikado from @Oldtimerunderground 2 years or so ago and it was great stuff.
I am pretty sure that @smokenhike used otugs strain and crossed it with a C99.
I am sure this will be some great stuff too.
In my experience, the straight ABC strains aren’t the most potent plants. I grew some (88 G13 HP x Sour Blue Tooth) x ABC from @middleman last year, and it turned out to be decent smoke and edibles.
The plants were also pretty resistant to bugs and budrot etc.
This year I got the Berry Freaks (fern type plant) from @middleman and some Dooligah freaks from @lilmanbigplan going. They are tough plants. Can’t wait to try them.
@Kyleromero94 Here is your Queens Banner.
I am sure this plant, and the other autos I got going would have been bigger if the damn neighbors wandering dogs didn’t get there noses and dig/mess up the plants when they were tiny seedlings.
I’m surprised the autos lived to be honest.
I gotta make a damn fence…
