We like jalapenos in our cheese in Texas. Is there a “hot” taste sensation from the nettle in the German cheese? Appologies for straying from topic.

No it is not a bold taste, a bit bitter with the creamy, mildly sweet cheese. I like it in the morning with bread and liverwurst. I am a Texan by the way, born in Freeport by Galveston.
