I have this slow growing Tahoe og clone that’s taking forever to straighten up,I transferred her over 2 weeks ago and she maybe Grew a couple more inches. I have a Death Star clone next to her that’s blew past her and was 2 times smaller! I transplanted her into a cocoa loco ocean forest mix watered with recharge and some silica my
question is should say something to the shop that sold it to me or give it more time.Could be down to the genetics of each, the Deathstar clones easier than the Tahoe OG. May take a bit more time to establish its roots.
Do you know if the shop test for hlvd? Slow growth is a symptom of it.
I do know some strains are quicker than others, I do not know why, but I do see it with some strains.
Asking the shop if others experienced a slower veg recovery time, as like you said, it’s bumped a couple of inches, but reduced to the other.
I’d give it a few more days, but I’m quick to yank a bitch outta her pot, dunk that root ball in bucket of tepid water, rinse al the medium off it and repot.
The hlvd, dang I hope not, I’ve not crossed paths with that one, that i know of anyway.
Hope the best for ya!
I don’t know I will call and ask in the morning
Tepid water?
You really can’t judge one by the growth of the other. Two different clone strains can grow very differently. Two different pheno’s of the same strain can grow at different rates (not clones though, usually). If it’s healthy, just let it do it’s thing. Some plants are just slow growers.
I’d like to add one thing though. Recharge is typically used to add microbes to your soil to break down organic matter faster. If you just added Fox Farms, you really don’t need to use recharge. I only use it for two different scenarios:
-
To “cook” my grow bag soil a couple of weeks before I transplant.
-
When I have to add fresh compost or other organic food to my plants mid grow and it hasn’t had time to cook or break down.
It doesn’t hurt anything to add it, but it’s expensive and you really don’t need it.

That’s good to know, thanks everybody
Tepid water is water that is neither hot nor cold, but instead falls somewhere in the between. It is usually between 60°F and 100°F (16°C and 38°C). Tepid water is suitable for drinking, dishwashing, and other household duties.Oct 1, 2022
