I got my beans in the mail awhile ago and got them planted, I started with 3, and one popped up a twin and I successfully split them now too so I have 4 out of 3 beans popped!

Hope you get a natural male female twin. From what I’ve I’ve read if you pollinate the female with her brother this will produce all fem seeds due to the natural twins. Very rare that this happens from my understanding but would be awesome if did

We’ll see what happens! I made sure to mark which two were the twins and I’m really interested to see what comes back when I send them for sex testing here soon. I don’t have a spot to grow out a male right now, but that would be an interesting experiment!

has ANY ONE been finding any legit banana in this line ??.
i think the next time i mess with the banana im going to run some of those old C banana from hammerhead. i keep hearing there are some solid banana to be found in those.
just wonder out loud if any one is finding banana in this line.

@JAWS, from your experience is this a true terp profile that has been found before? I know I’ve read in the past people would feed plants banana terp/flavoring to get the plant do emit the same.

yes its true, with me the banana will be coming from the 60-40 side of the breed. its the only thing i look for when im growing banana kush/og. there not just every where or in all packs though.
need to be hunted …

I’ve smoked Banana Kush 10-12 years ago.
And it was an unripe green banana smell and flavor. Not a sweet banana. But i’ve no idea who’s Banana K it was. I bet a sweet banana can be found.
More important than the flavor imo, is the sativa male “60/40” (Haze x Skunk) adds a delightful up and happy Sativa effect to the more Indica like Ghost OG.
A special daytime high is to be found in Banana Kush.
I might add molasses in flower to enhance the soil and therefore the terps.
When i grew a Banana Kush x Cherry AK from bagseed, it was my favorite high out of 14 strains.

I did get to try some of the plants that made these seeds. There is definitely banana in there. I only got to put my face to a couple, but one was pretty identifiable sweet banana candy and the other that I recall was a greener banana smell but had some general sweetness to it too. I can’t comment on effect really because there was a lot going on, but they had a very unique smell and I was super pleased with how the taste came through. One was heavily banana and the other a sweet, nutty green sort of flavor. Definitely worth a grow. I don’t think folks will be disappointed if they pop these looking for banana.

So Ive never had any interaction or exposure with Banana OG. With the sativa leaner you speak on is there any identifiable with growth traits that mirror with the effect ie: NL sativa stretch or this is purely effect hidden within the line?

It really was my pleasure man. I’ve been enjoying the smoke of the F5 offspring quite a good amount. The Banana OG has surely earned its spot in whatever hectic rotation I run.
Love me a good twofer. Hopefully all of them turn out female for ya.
The phenotypes in the F5 generation beans I just grew were pretty darn close to the mothers in the F4. I believe there’s plenty of Banana there, but the truth will be in the pudding. I’m thrilled to see other people’s opinions on the aromas.
Thank you my brotha, I had a bomb time with good people. Got to sample some of that kush stuff you and I have pondered about. I think I’m starting to understand what it is, though I’ll have to consume a few more pounds just to be sure.
My vet homegirl was taken back by the Banana taste. We only wished there had been more to smoke.

I remember the plant being branchy, bushy and wide. As apposed to a columnar indica frame w minimal branching.
