Coco Husk Starter Pots vs Biodegradable Mesh Starter Bags

Has anyone used both for seedlings and have a preference? From an ill-informed perspective it seems to me like the bags would be better for direct planting a seedling to it’s final pot, but I don’t have enough knowledge of either to form an opinion. I know a lot of people just use solo cups, but if I can easily eliminate transplant stress from my future processes buy just popping a bag or organic pot in a hole in the dirt, I’d prefer to spend the extra on that option. Thoughts?

I’ve seen people use the mesh starters with great success. I liked watching a grow start with these they seem simple as heck.

Yeah I have a bunch of bags but saw some coco husk start pots at the store earlier and thought about grabbing some. Found a youtuber who uses them but hoping to find some more who do before buying since they’re kinda pricey

Lots of ways to accomplish the same thing.

Transplant stress is no big deal and easily avoidable.

I’m a yogurt cup guy myself.

Just don’t let them get root bound, that has been my experience.

For me the biggest concern is that the medium isn’t too wet.

I’ve seen landscapers beat the shit out of plants while transplanting.

I like a little root bind but it’s a matter of taste.
