Coffweed’s Secret World Headquarters, Three Tents and some LEDs in Organic Living Soil

Also, isn’t the point of a tent to create the perfect environment? Or as close as you can get? Just stick in a closet otherwise…

I’ve read this also, and I’m sure its true. How hard is the plant working, does it cause stress and how much, does it really matter if you’re doing a good job feeding the plant and taking care of the roots? - These are the questions I can’t answer, but I can say that I’ve kept every single leaf green on vigorous plants without every giving humidity or vpd a second thought. I personally think the whole vpd thing is a little overblown.

Lung room?

Unplug rh equipment for a day and see whats what. Flower and Veg have different needs. What are you trying to achieve?

Get to the chopper.

I have dials on AC, Humidity, Dehu, and fans. Just trying to figure out and dial in the right numbers and also watch/learn/listen to the plants.

There is definitely some conflicting information but overall I feel like if I can create a happy environment— I should!

I probably will also have plants in the closet and will see how they fare, but given the choice of setting the dials where I’ve read they should be is my goal. I’m very very open to opinions and change — but trying to do my best for the plants.

Lung room (my bedroom that houses the tents).

I’m happy leaving them alone but am most definitely paying attention to them. Happily hovering. Really just trying to do a good job and learn so I can do better next time.

My questions were open-ended to the group , I wasn’t pinning them on you, brother!
All I know is if your VPD is above 1.4 your plants will do some serious eating and drinking. If you aren’t on your shit your plants will go from great to what the fuck happened over night.

My veg tent currently:

It’s in that “happy zone” but I would also need to take some leaf temp to get a more accurate VPD. Which, I could and should do — I have a temp gun thing I use for agar bottles generally.

Cal Mag foliar way too much on Chem D. Tip burn like a mf but its a mistake I am learning from. Doesn’t make me a bad steward. Looking forward to the Maui Wowie smoke reports.

So is that brown how you can tell it was nutrient burn? Yellow would be deficiency? So much to learn

I’m bummed to say I have never smoke Chem. Sure I’ve had hybrids with some of the chems, but never smoked the OGs…
CSI the best place to get seeds?

That and the TK look like they would be :fire:. I’m sure they have a few other fun ones from a quick glance (not cheap though!).

Update (the other one is also running now, lol):

Pic is of tip burn from too much nutes yes. I cant identify deficiencies like the hydro guys so the goal is to provide whats needed. Big 6 should not be used again. Soil is more important than RH imo. Aim for consistency. Less is more.

^^ Green alley. Too much tinkering in your veg tent. BAS soil plus water should be enough for at least a month depending on container size.

Oh yea i forgot some dehumidifiers are like that. I have to use the inkbird in flower and the dry tent or my rh will go above 60%. Like the other guy said, rh in veg is a thing of the past for me.

Same boat so I reached out to Farmer Joe 420 on IG and got the D and the Chem 91 rooted clones.

I was interested so got a bunch of crosses and a Bx seeds too. But they are available pure so at $100 each i figured its worth it.

Please forgive all this in your thread @Coffweed

Edit: Keep an eye out at Lowes and HD City Pickers should be on sale if not now then soon. SIP power!

Cover crop and mulch in pots might help with soil moisture consistency. Diverse compost Malibus, Coast of Maine, EWC, Mushroom, Rabbit Raisins, Alpaca poop etc.

In your pic it looks like 2-3 plants like the humidity and the rest seem to be struggling. Overwatered and misted? Is that an auto in the corner? Are there different types of soil in there?

There are a few plants that have been struggling a bit. The humidity and temp rise is all new over the last week – I’m hoping it alongside proper feeding will help.

I do need to get some cover crop going eventually here.

Hopefully my watering is getting much more dialed in now though. I’ve been lifting the pots and learning when they’re bone dry and what that feels like as compared to freshly watered. I’m not getting runoff when I do water, as I’m trying to be minimal and am paranoid I’ve over-watered in the past. They got no water “yesterday” (lights off from 1pm to 7pm). I’ll check them today when the lights pop on and see where they’re at there.

Yep, it’s a small auto in the corner. I did nothing to it since it moved from paper towel germ. into the smaller fabric pot. There were a few more but they ended up being male.

Also, yep, two of the GDP plants are in Mother Earth Groundswell. Everything else is in either BAS Light or 3.0 (or a mix of Light/3.0).

How are your plants getting nutrients?

If dry organic then the idea is different. Feed the soil. Provide amendments for the soil to break down. Think of the Soil as alive. Its life provides for the plants. Allow plants as much autonomy as you can. Organic dry feeding isn’t really dialed in like lightning or temperature. Its more provided and the plant takes over. Hope this helps.

Peace
