Coffweed’s Secret World Headquarters, Three Tents and some LEDs in Organic Living Soil

I’m kinda in the same boat as method, plants sorta assist each other when possible. That said stakes are always helpful to have.

Personally I’d wait until I was in flower and actually saw what was going on. You have a lot of plants in there that will be fighting for the light. Ones along the outer edges won’t make big buds so there isn’t a ton to stress there. Main colas will get large and unless you make a sea of green, which I personally found is only really possible if done through veg, the other branching sites won’t be nearly as large as the main cola.

For even sized buds, or mains, you really need to get the main top at the same height as all the branches. This will distribute hormones more evenly across the plant.

You’re going to learn a lot in about two weeks :+1:

I’m excited!! The learning has been constant and I hope it continues without too much massive failure. Always trying to improve and think of the next tent!

Gotta learn to walk before you run.

Patience is key. You seem busy.

I’d personally focus on this tent before adding a dozen new plants to a whole new tent.
Gotta do what ya gotta do, but veg is way easier than flowering, especially when you have an assortment of different genetics that you’ve never run before.

Wishing you smooth sailing, brother

Thank you :). I am busy but things are slowly settling and the gardening keeps me in line. Running multiple cultivars at once I slightly regret in hind sight — I can see how they’re different and have different needs.

The next tent is already started with those TKxGF/BBD cups/1gal destined for EarthBoxes in the second 4x4 but otherwise I’m letting things run the course. Soon I have drying/trimming/curing to take on as well! So many things.

Where to start? I was trying to take off a rather crispy looking leaf and I pulled off a small bud of the Maui. Whoops! My first, not quite ready, harvest, lol.

I’m getting the feeling I didn’t feed it enough or it’s done — but in any case the sugar leaf tips are yellowing.

It feels very close if not just about there for this bagseed hermie (that is still loved). Maybe?

The auto is cranking along, got center stage today.

A few others got water but otherwise everything is cruising along. Keeping detailed nutrition and water notes has been helpful.

I see a top dressing in the very near future and up-porting the cups tomorrow. Was way too wiped out from a solid overnight of work to do more than I did already tonight.

Much love OG!

Maui looks strong. Can you remove trellis now?

^^Earthbox? Stakes?

^^Did a trellis over a SIP last season.

Your gonna dig SIPs. Microbes and biology in the bottom. Fungus on top. Magic in the middle.

Dig after a rain. Go to a bait shop or pet store. If not everywhere please add worms to the SIPs. Cowoco probably has worms if you can get that local.

Maybe you can set the trellis up higher and hang branches from it in the future.:rofl::joy:

Yo bay,
You use Avocado tech with your sips?
Worms go nuts for the fatty fruit of the cado.
Mix the fruit with plant nutes, put back into shell, and set on top of soil. Day later all your worms will be in it eating. Super fast way to deliver nutes to plants without letting the soil dry back

Loving the cantaloupe and avocados I’ve been seeing.

Would yall feed the Maui due to the yellowing sugars? Or just water until harvest?

@Bayarealivingsoil The EarthBoxes are in! I’ll get some stakes to have around just in case. And some worms :). All in good time (by good time I mean when I get paid, lolol). I’ve been riding the wire a little closer than I’d like recently but such is life.

Cantaloupe is a new for me! Very cool.
As odd as this sounds, you can also order worms on Amazon.
I did a few years back as I have a worm bin and they’re the shit. Just be careful if you choose to get rid of them as they are very invasive and ruin forest mycology…

Never seen Cantaloupe either. Been known to add Spirulina in veg. Whatever is on hand at the time. Feeding plants plants. All of your trim dried and powdered is great for worms/soil.

Peace

78 days in (11 weeks) on the Maui Wowie

She’s getting close! I’m getting ready to dry in my currently unoccupied 4x4 – just going to put up some clips suspended somehow or other, a humidifier on 55RH, a tent fan, and probably no HVAC yet so I’ll keep an eye on things and vent the tent as needed. The bottom three flaps and a vent hole or two I can run some ducting from should hopefully work!

I’ve been tracking my watering and feeding. I’m sure the complexity of this tracking will grow in time. Working on good notes!

Lights on in about 45minutes for the 4x4 and I’ll see if any blank spots on the sheet need water this morning – otherwise just praying for space, lol. I’ve got three pots to prep for the TK solo cup transplant – I’d best get nice and stoned and get on that!

4x4 Tent Updates
Transplant Time for the TK x GF / BBD from @Rhai88

It felt like it went well! I used some Rootwise powder on the hole for the new plant and pre moistened to field capacity before gently watering them in.

The Stats

Testing a Drying Setup
Using a horrible fan – so that will change. Also no HVAC in there right now. Also only about a half gram nug, lol.

Clones…?
The three on the left have been there a minute. No roots. Three on the right are fresh tonight. 45degree angle cuts, Clonex gel, hoping one will take.

Nice! Things look good.

Lol define a minute. Cloning that way i would expect at least 3 weeks.

The 3 on the right could use a haircut. Clones should focus on growing roots not maintaining leaves.

Hahaha, that’s after I thought I took basically everything off tonight. I can take more, lol.

Waiting. Watching. A few more days on the Maui still. Then the flip!

Finding patience as I wait for the Maui to finish up, checks to clear, and tent setups to be ordered/delivered. All soon enough! For now though, a nicely crowded veg tent with a few total light hogs (I’m looking at you GDP5). Some clones a-clonin’ slowly (but surely!) – and somewhere around a half gram when dried (I’m guessing) nug is drying, lol. Guesses anyone?

Are you still at 12/12 with the Maui?

Try dropping to 10.5/13.5. Sativas like less light to finish in most cases.

Is the whole plant seeded or just a branch or two?
Seeds only need 4-6 weeks in most cases to mature. You can over mature seeds.

Also, what light did you end up going with?! You had a lot of great options!

I think the whole plant is seeded but I’ll find out soon enough!! Tacked on an hour of dark (this VivoSun controller only goes in hour increments — annoying).

I haven’t ordered yet as I’m waiting for some money to clear into my account and the bank is taking its sweet time — but am going with two of these for the two 4x4s:

Also need some HVAC for the second 4x4 but then the setup is rocking!

Lastly, I think the clones are rooting — just slowly. Yay :).
