Day 42 of the Chernobyl I’m growing for my own smoke. Grown from clone in soil. Looks to me like it will probably go nine weeks, maybe a little less.

Chernobyl is almost ready. It would be convenient to chop tomorrow (Sunday), but I will probably go a few more days. Getting excited to smoke this!

I love how the buds are fading to lime green. Not the most flashy or beautiful colors, of course. If you look really closely, there are some hints of purple in the buds. If I had better control of the temp in my tent, perhaps that would have developed more.
The leaves under the canopy are mostly yellow now. I had been worried about bud rot since the buds are packed together, but the weather has cooperated and I’ve been plucking leaves everyday for airflow.

Chopped today. Ended up waiting another week after my last update. I think the buds fattened up a bit more and the trichs are exactly where I like them. This is one of those plants that puts out white pistols to the very end. I think I went 65 days. Someone who likes more amber trichomes, could take it to 10 weeks.

Very much the same as when I grew the same plant from seed in the open pollination. Burnt rubber and very sweet. I have the buds in my Cannatrol right now. I’m a few days away from smoking.

This is allergy season for me and NYC has a lot of Canadian wildfire smoke this week, so my sniffer is not working all that well. Given that, from what I can tell, the dried buds have a slight burnt rubber smell and have lost their sweetness. I pressed some and the dabs tasted like lemon-lime. So, maybe the smell will come back as it sits in jars.
The smoke is dense and smooth. Tastes like weed. The high is a powerful head-high with mild relaxing body effects. Great for creative pursuits or daydreaming. Not racy, like some sativas are, but also not enervating. No couch lock and more brain humming than brain numbing. A good daytime or evening smoke, but not what I would smoke before bed to help with sleep.
Very good yield too. Overall, I like it a lot.
