The love that flows around here is contagious. Gonna be hanging around for this one. BMR is my initials as well and I just started my first seed run. Coincidence? I think it’s more than that. Gonna have to sign up for these. This card idea is also really awesome too!!!

As much as I’d love to win the seeds, I want to win to collect the cards even more. As a kid I loved to collect baseball, basketball, and football cards. It’s so nostalgic feeling and they’re so cool. I love how I’m not the only one either. Like minds! Much love

So a quick update. Seeds have been germinating for 24 hours after a 24 hour soak and not one seed has cracked open 
That was not what I was expecting. Normally there is at least a few cracking open by this point. Will see what happens by tomorrow.

Usually I just throw them in my mouth and crack them open with my teeth. May not be conventional, but it gets the job done. Hopefully everything works out

Just spring water, same as always. I am not calling this after such a short time, I will leave them till tomorrow and than switch a few things up.
I will just use a vice if I need to

Yup, that’s tomorrows thing. I will scuff some edges, crack a few with the vice and put a few on a heat mat to see what happens. Tent is 23c / 73.4f so should be plenty warm already. The vice I pictured is smaller than it looks 
Makes it easy to control pressure.

I love that little vice! Anytime I have seeds that won’t crack… I split them with my teeth with a tiny bit of pressure. That vice is perfect for the job. I need one lol

I love it. Grips well, easy to control pressure and when done under my magnifying lamp you can see the seed split easily. Have no idea where I got it, been around for decades, lol.

Nope, being from 2020 I didn’t see the need. Pretty rare that I have to do anything to seeds but will be doing some stuff to them tomorrow if nothing has happened.
