They just needed a shot of viagra and some time to get there shit together.

Definitely, going to pollinate them with the others but still going to keep the beans separate just to be on the safe side. If any of them turn out male, well, they will die.

Depending on how many females I’d keep a nice one free of seed to smoke if it’s not lots of trouble.

something to smoke while cleaning the seeds

I was thinking that. I have to start 4 autos though so I can put them outside my cottage when I open up the end of May. I need more space, lol. I really can’t fit a 4th tent anywhere. :frowning:

Really like the growth on the freaks, too bad their donor is a of a shady nature. But they are all growing so fast, really excited to see how all this turns out.
This has been the best but frustrating grow I think ever seen. Great job Doug

Do the freaks have the same colorations on the stalks and petioles as the fab 5? @DougDawson

Amazing as always @DougDawson !! Good luck on the M/F ratio!

Lights on in an hour, I will take a look.

Thanks brother, fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:

Well even if they turn out close, I know you said you were apprehensive about sending out seeds because of the dubious origin… For what is worth, I’ll take a handful of them to scatter on hikes and whatnot. OGTW right

Looking really good man! The BOG genetics are shining through in the form of thick bushes with extra fat leaves it looks like. The freaks look suspect lol I’ve been gone on vacation so I haven’t been on here in a bit but things are looking great! Hopefully the other three are females. Chances are probably good they are if the other two showed as males already seeing as how those genetics are very uniform.

From what I’ve seen BOG genetics are very stable. They are probably past F10’s. That’s why I like using IBL’s for breeding. You know what you’re passing on. From what I’ve noticed when you breed with Sour Bubble or BMR the genetics are very dominant and pass through. Even if Doug only got 1 female they should be a good representation of the strain being crossed with all the males as I haven’t seen much variation in his genetics.

Have you seen any plants more stable? (I don’t think I have…)

Thanks, they are coming along nicely now so pretty stoked. I am hoping the other 3 are females but it is what it is at this point. Like you say, even one female fully pollinated by all the males will still be a good representation. Won’t be long now and we shall know 100% what we are looking at.

So it’s time for another update. First the freaks. They are looking pretty good and most of them are heading for the bin, lol.

I am quite surprised they turned around as well as they did but Houston, we have a problem. Got 4 confirmed males and one questionable. So at max 2 females, possibly only one.

Now for the stars of the show, the fab 5.

So it’s looking to me like 2 males and 3 females from the 5 which is a great thing. The big beast is also finally showing his male parts so we got 3 females and 3 males. Going to be easy to get the job done with these ratios. So onward we go. 4 plants heading for the bin and seeds will be coming.

Bummer about the freaks! Sounds like great news on the females! Onward and upward!

Yeah, I am fine with it. They were not being included anyway and now have been destroyed so they have no chance on screwing up this grow. Happy to see a 3/2 female/male ratio. I couldn’t have asked for better.

3/2 does seem perfect! Enough females to get a ton of seeds, and enough males to not have to worry about not enough pollen! I love it when a plan comes together!

What a perfect time to catch up on the thread bro! That ratio is just perfect. I’m interested to see if you decide to keep one female virgin.
Truly man, this has been an epic ride. I’m glad I got to be here for it.

I am glad to have you along brother. Won’t be keeping any virgins, lol. All genetics available will be included. Time to get some BMR seeds out there to growers so we can see this ridiculously hard to find strain grown again. BOG’s work shall live on. :v:
