This also compounded the problem as well. Thanks @zephyr for opening the wiki and helping to correct things.
Ah well, I’m only destined to be sending seeds it seems.
It’s all good man. We learn. That gives us power to do better. Thank you for the efforts here. It’s very generous and we should each try to match that generosity with kindness, patience and gratitude.
What he said.
The overwriting was totally sad. I wouldn’t expect that from those who know better and have edited a wiki before. It was very disappointing. An accident by a new member is understandable but not if it’s a person that knew better.
You did a good thing @Kavman. It’s still “all good” but it could have been smoother had members been considerate of each other.
Just the ramblings of an old man though. What do I know?
Old men know a lot.
Thanks @Kavman for the solid you did me yesterday! Would not have been able to loop back and this is a run I would be sad sad sad to miss! You got a chip with me!
This is why we can’t have nice things. Lol.
Scoring tickets to a sold out show folks throw a lot of elbows. I’m sorry it happened to you this way @Kavman but I’d take it as a sign. You da man! Thank you for taking it on.
Free the weed
My curiosity was piqued while reading through the post history: why did that one person keep deleting their name and then delete a bunch of other users every time they re-added their name back to the list moments later. That seemed extremely odd. I can see once, but 4-5 times? Not cool.
I forgot to say thank you. lol
Thank you.
How do you accidentally erase other people names?
Overwriting can be done if you are in a hurry and not really paying attention once… but to erase someone’s name is at the very least?
And to do it 4-5 times…
My .02
Dunno it could have been me I forgot that the wiki doesn’t work well on my phone.
Don’t sweat it, brother. it’s all good.
If you look closely at edit 29, I deleted the errant line #2, and placed users back in their correct order while adding myself. Did you notice otherwise?
Edit: apologies, I may have misinterpreted the details of your post
When one opens an edit they are opening a draft copy of the wiki. When folks save during the time you have that draft open it does not update your draft so when you then save it erases what was done while you had the draft open. That could mean erasing 1 name or erasing several depending on how many people saved to the wiki while you had your draft copy open. There are multiple warning signs to avoid this if people just pay attention to them. Everyone should read this thread. It shows all the warnings signs and explains how a wiki works. This behavior has been seen before, this is why I made the below post a year ago. These issues can easily be avoided.
