I am somewhat lucky and have an emergency kit with water and freeze dried food that I keep in case of earthquakes or fire (Nevada). The price gouging has begun in earnest…if you can even locate what you are after. I also keep lots of Dry Dog food on hand…just in case. (3 dogs)
