Coronavirus Facts and Fiction - January - May 2020 [Closed]

The good ol’ USA was already in crippling debt IDK how we’re gonna afford this.

Logic is they can’t afford not to but money doesn’t come from nowhere.

I wish I understood global finance in any way, shape, or form.

I got turdeau and Kenney bucks. First time receiving financial assistance from government. Had a real bad cold flu a few weeks back. Work wouldnt let me work my 14 day shift. And AHS told me to stay home and monitor. Used my sick time and applied for the rest of the days and got the money. I pay a lot of taxes in general so I’m sure I’ll pay for this. But I took the money and invested it. Pay the man back with the mans money

Smart man.

I was thinking of using the free money to buy some gold myself. It’s at an all time high but I feel like I’m “playing with the house’s money” right now.

Oppressive regimes breed incompetency, especially when organizations are run by “party bosses”.

Seems like the smart play. If the market tanks and we hit a depression, your investments will be the least of your worries if you aren’t JD Rockefeller. Only way to go is up for the average investor. This is how rich people stay rich, buying when the chips are down.

It’s not out of the realm of possibility. I’m a natural skeptic but simple human error in the absolute worst place for human error is technically inevitable.

It sorta grinds my gears though when people say it is absolutely 100% man-made.

Here right in Black and White they added 3700 without a positive test result.

They are going by the coroner’s examination and declaration of death as being Covid-19 even if that individual did not receive a PCR test. That is called a presumptive case and is based part on their medical history and symptoms [1] ← source.

Recall, most folk did not receive tests early on because that didn’t have tests and instead had to rely on symptoms and other diagnostics. Even now it’s not necessarily easy to get one. They are still encouraging folk to stay at home unless the symptoms (diagnosed over the phone) are extreme enough to require hospitalization. Such as difficulties in breathing with reduced oxygen saturation.

Further, take a look at the overall totals. Here is more from the reporting [1]:

…But even if the current count is perfect, roughly 9,780 people have died of all causes over the past month in New York City, about 5,000 more than is typical.

The numbers for the last two weeks of the period are even more stark: nearly 7,000 dead, more than three times as many deaths as would normally be expected this time of year.

It’s a safe bet that you’d also find deaths due to industrial, automobile, workplace accidents have decreased during this period. But yet the total number of deaths over the last couple of weeks is at 3X the seasonal expectation.

Spain’s jump in new cases is due to a long 5 day holiday weekend and some new case reports took longer to get accounted for / tallied up than a normal day to day in a normal week
it is continuing to slowly slope down

Listing them as a covid death just because of symptoms is misleading at best. How many different things cause a fever and a cough? Alas the fear machine needs fuel and they get paid more by the Fed for covid deaths

As long as you don’t compare different countries it is not misleading. Application is limited though because of incomparable methods. The only thing you can interpret is the trend in particular city or country.

How do you figure you can predict anything with inaccurate data? There are so many things with the symptoms of Corona listing them as a Corona death just based on that alone will falsely inflate numbers.

If I had the dough I’d be looking into rental properties in the coming months. I think two things will happen as a result of this pandemic:

  1. Real estate prices will drop due to the market tanking
  2. Many people will be kicked out of their houses due to non-payment, leading to further supply which will lower prices more and also create a ton more rental tenants looking for places to live than before

Rentals are already hard to find and expensive in my area, I think that will get alot worse soon.

You keep making the assertion that coroners aren’t making an accurate diagnosis (cause of death) and are part of some sort of conspiracy. So, I just gave you the NYC overall totals (all deaths) including the source that clearly illustrates a huge difference year over year …

I’m not making any assumptions it was reported as such. With no test how would they know? They don’t because so many things have the same symptoms so going on symptoms alone their data is false period. The coroner’s don’t have a crystal ball

Right there in Black and White, adding presumed cases

Black and white, look at the totals. QED.

Crystal ball? They do have an education, expertise, and follow relatively strict guidelines.

By the time it’s all done they’re talking not even .01 of the world’s population to be affected.

The totals don’t mean shit when they are based on flawed data lol
