Not taking sides in this one, but I trust Big Pharma as far as I trust China! Do I think that they are capable of producing a killerā¦YESā¦did theyā¦IDK. The other real possibility could be a manufactured biological weapon getting loose, mutating and creating global havoc. I still wonder how Ebola happened.
Remember the Perdue family and how they made countless millions selling Opioidsā¦knowing full well that the death toll was rising and that the Opioid epidemic was a danger to society and out of control. Their reps were recorded pushing their clients (doctors and pharmacies) to prescribe even moreā¦even though they knew what was happeningā¦It took a multi state lawsuit to even slow them down.
The entire lot should be tossed in the clink, but noā¦$$ talks and donāt even get me started on the FDA!
The gouging going on with masks, freeze dried foods etc shows what fear, coupled with greed will do.

Glad to see there are still rational stoners. This whole thread has been a pretty big facepalm to be honest. Everything that happens on earth isnāt some ridiculous conspiracy. Why is it that some people think they have some long lost or special secret knowledge no one else has. If there really was a conspiracy of any type I highly doubt anyone is gonna break it wide open by looking at shitty websites and using google, but it seems like every bad thing that happens or shows on the news thereās always someone claiming that the illuminati or some organization did it with absolutely zero proof or garbage evidence.

We know exactly how Ebola happened. People eating bushmeat. Which is why it keeps cropping up in West/Central Africa.
Coronavirus happened the same way. Zoonotic viruses have had scientists worried for years.

Cannabis culture, for better and worse, has a lot of overlap with counterculture, which includes a lot of conspiracy theorists. I see it constantly. Modern day occultism (I possess this hidden knowledge, only I am privy to the inner workings mentality).
Conspiracy theorism follows religious tendencies. The world is complicated and people have trouble making sense of it. I know I do. Itās easier to say āevil men in the shadows did itā than to critically look at the issue. To complicate matters, a small portion of conspiracies are probably true, but they get lost in the lizard people/flat earth/hollow earth/Hillary is an alien nonsense.
It does comfort me that if an Illuminati-type organization existed, secretly pulling every string, power behind every throne, with total control of world affairs, then thereās nothing you, I, or anyone else can do about it, and we should stop worrying and try to live life best we can.

Pharmaceutical companies donāt care about people just the money.
They same happened with Thlamidomide they carried on selling it, and denying it was the cause of horrible birth deformities even when the mounting evidence was undeniable.
The same is happening with vaccines, they have safer alternatives with adjuvant not containing huge doses of mercury, but they wont start using it, until all the old stuff is sold first. The term they use is, Phasing out old stock.
Japan has the lowest vaccine administration in children, and the healthiest children than any other country with the lowest mortality rate in early years of life.

You would have an HIV epidemic spread by touch or an airborne virus, not transmitted by sexual or blood contact, which is more difficult to contract in that way. That sounds pretty devastating to me.
I doesnāt have to be a conspiracy, for me its more of an interesting speculation, on how I see government corporations and big business conducting themselves on the planet. I am just connecting the dots in an alternate way. Some people find its to disturbing to contemplate, but its happening all the time. As I said I am a cynical bastard.

Bushmeat. People eat and hunt bats over there, homie. Bats live in large colonies that have their own viruses. Zoonotic viruses can transmit to people, which is why they are so dangerous, because we have no immunity to animal borne viruses.
The same situation happened in China. At a wild animal bushmeat market.

All I can think is that peeps who buy into these complicated elaborate conspiracy theories can obviously never have worked in government! Most departments are hard pressed getting their stationary order together let alone some multi hundred person conspiracy where NOBODY has an attack of guilt and spills the beansā¦

Critically looking at an issue does mean evaluating a variety possibilities. It does not invalidate the possibilities that delve outside of the mainstream theories but instead assigns a probability and an avenue of research. We donāt have a lot of good provable information at this point. Locking yourself into a single train of thought and blasting the ātin-foilā horn is rather the opposite. What you mean to say is, Zoonotic spread is currently the most probable scenario.
Opinions are always up for debate.

Conspiracy theorism does more harm than good. Ebola came from bushmeat/bats. If you have an alternative theory, Iām all ears. I donāt consider the tinfoil crowd to have equal standing of consideration to medical doctors and scientists.
I can create a conspiracy out of thin air, it doesnāt mean it warrants scrutiny. As well, most conspiracies donāt hold water if you look at them objectively for a few minutes. The problem is, people want to believe them. Itās a natural inclination we seem to have.
I live in a University town with a big medical campus and thereās also pharmaceutical labs here. If I get sick it isnāt because researchers at the university let an infected rhesus monkey escape. Itās because itās flu season. Everything is technically possible all the time, I donāt have the wherewithal to deal with the infinitesmal. If it rains, it could be the Russians controlling the weather, or it could be a cold front moving in.
I donāt know, agree to disagree I guess, doesnāt sound like anyone is going to change their minds.
