My house burns down. The most likely scenario is it was a cooking accident (or the Russians ā my wife is Russian) [3].
Naturally I should out-of-hand dismiss other possibilities such as heating failure, arson, lightning, electrical failure, and the open flame from the candle I was burning. Relative to cooking accidents, everything else has an infinitesimal probability san the experts.
The situation is developing quickly. There are discussions on possibilities, theories, and information as it becomes available. There simply hasnāt been enough time and we donāt have good information even for the most probable scenario. The experts have made claims on both sides of the argument. Iāll choose the cautious route and consider a variety of possibilities until such time that we have more definitive information.
FWIW, China is upset with the recent travel ban and says itās a conspiracy too [4]

Please donāt miss understand me, I am not trying to change your mind, or accept my personal reality, maybe open your eyes a bit wider to things, its a good conversation. The way people think and interpret theirs and others societies is interesting .
By your statement some conspiracies are true for you. What changes it from a conspiracy to truth for you. To me you are saying unless I have a degree or doctorate, or I am some high up politician, my 60 years experience on earth looking at how things are done is invalid.
People will always want to stay within the herd, and believe with the majority, weather right or wrong, as you say its a natural thing to do. Believing in so called conspiracies is the opposite of the majority, so why would they want to put themselves outside of the majority belief. Maybe they see patterns that others do not, or do not want to see.
The Us gov and its FDA organization controlled by the Pharmaceutical industry said that Cannabis turned people into sex crazed axe wielding maniacs, did you believe them?
The FDA says there is no medical value in Cannabis, and there chemical substitute for the real thing is safe, do you believe them?
Would not believing them, be a conspiracy in your mind?
Who sponsors those Pharmaceutical Labs, Who provides the information that doctors are taught to become a doctor. I expect its the pharmaceutical industry.
Why when I ask a doctor for a diagnosis of a condition, they will tell me what is wrong with me, not what caused it, unless you press them for that info.
Why wont they tell you unless asked, its because, you will then work out, if you stop eating sugar, smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol and sitting on a couch all day, you can change these things, instead of taking a drug to mask the symptoms you are experiencing.
Most people will always follow a chain of command, it absolves responsibility, the people at the top know whats going on, and thatās all OK. Most people in Gov run organizations donāt get paid enough to care, or try and make bad practice known, because it risks their job.
Look at the US atm, Trump has removed any info on climate change, from government information, scientists have to have their work checked before they can make it public knowledge. In case it upsets the Fossil fuel industry. He has stopped Gov environmental water testing, and just passed laws that has put drinking water protection back 50 years, allowing companies to dump whatever they want into water systems now. I bet you have heard about that though on the news? ā¦No didnāt think so.
Look into the use of aspartame fake sugar. It was banned by the FDA, and rightly so, as its toxic, Rumsfeld and partners held the patent for that I believe, of the top of my head. It was refused 8 times until Rumsfeld got into power with Bush Jnr and he sacked the head of the FDA and put in one of his cronies to pass it safe for human consumption.
There are more things in heaven and Earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy. I have an open mind that is all and a lot of authority distrust

There is still a lot of uncertainly even on the R0 of this bug. Media say ~2, Chinese researchers say closer to 4 [1].
By the way, I donāt think anyone here said āplainly obviously engineeredā. Thatās your insertion. Though accidental release is also a possibility. As is Zoonotic mutation.
