The Markets woke up yesterday, lots of info out there from different industries but Automakers using Chinese parts said they had enough parts to run plants till sometime in April before shutdowns will being.

China has admitted they can’t contain the virus so production won’t be coming back anytime soon. I read somewhere today that Samsung was forecasting it’s Chinese plants would be back to 80 percent output by mid March. That’s seems optimistic.

Is the Coronavirus China’s Chernobyl? Will the misinformation and secrecy turn the people against its government and a failing economy met with a great disaster be the death stroke for another communist country?

I was talking with he med tech at my doctors today while having blood drawn, she said that a nurse was in right before me and scolded her for not wearing a facemask and eye protection for herself. The nurse was a trauma nurse in very large city hospital, and said they have begun emergency protocol and are all using univeral protection devices in the ER now.
Face shields and gloves at least.

Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer left the National Security Council (NSC) this week, and national security adviser John Bolton dissolved the global health security team that Ziemer oversaw.

The Post reported that Ziemer will not be replaced, and that his departure means that there is no single official at the highest levels of the administration who focuses only on global health security.

Ziemer’s departure from the NSC is the latest since Bolton joined the administration last month. Four senior aides [left or resigned] under pressure from the council during Bolton’s first week on the job.

Organizationally, we appear to have a few holes in the US. I guess as of 2018, it is no longer any one person’s responsibility to coordinate government efforts in situations like these.

The common flu is much more deadly than covid-19.

Covid-19 is just more difficult to track and contain since symptoms can take up to 20 days to show. Or symptoms might not show at all. Or they show just like a common cold.

Only unhealthy people and thise w pre existing medical conditions are at risk of death.

Its all blown out of proportion.
