The only thing all this fear mongering is going to do is tank the world economy. After reading numerous stories from people that have recovered they all say the same thing, it’s no worse than the regular seasonal flu that they get every year

While that’s true there are some additional things to consider. Many people (myself included) get vaccinated for the flu which keeps it from spreading as fast as CV is spreading. Those who are elderly or in mortal danger of the flu, can get vaccinated against it.
Also, we are currently at risk of both viruses which puts additional strain on the hospital system.
I’m not sure yet if people are overreacting. I’m skeptical that it’s as bad as some say, but I’m not sure it’s as harmless as others say

im in central Indiana and just swung by Walmart for some guac, chips, and sour cream for taco night and that place was the busiest ive seen a Walmart. shelves were getting wiped clean. not a frozen pizza left in sight. I was probably 20 deep for the self checkout.
ive got an ounce of shrooms, two tabs of some grade a lsd, a bottle of bourbon, and a freezer of venison. ill be riding this one out in a real weird space

Was out for a bit and stopped by the local Scheels (I never used to go there)…The 9mm ammo section was out of what I wanted so I had to buy some brands and types that normally I would not purchase. Spoke with a nice older salesman (about my age…LOL), and he said that since last week, it was impossible to keep the stock up.
Got plenty of JHPs and now some ball ammo too. If it comes to that…Ball will do the job too.

I lived in Tampa area for about 12 years and saw about 4 serious hurricanes in that time. Got sorta used to the panic and empty shelves. I hope the panic here is equally unfounded and clears up just as quickly, but who knows…
