Coronavirus Facts and Fiction - January - May 2020 [Closed]

I went to Yonge and Bloor today and it was eerily quiet. Not quite a ghost town, but foot traffic is way down.

edit: I needed to buy fertilizer in case of an extended quarantine. Priorities

Sadly, the peasants still do not have easy access to the tests in the US. The ā€˜eliteā€™ class, apparently, remains the priority.

In China they have the one child rule or did have, not sure itā€™s still in place or not but most families killed female children at birth to have a male to carry on the family name. They have finally realized with no women you have no babies. Hence attacking men more

Best reply so farā€¦ Of the art of not given a fuckā€¦ Heheh.

Now seriously the biggest problem around this virus itā€™s the fact that it takes so long to reveal itself given the 14 day incubation period. Worse, you can be already have it and not have any symptoms.

Classes have been suspended for 3 weeksā€¦ but then you see idiots all happy and enjoying the sunshine at the beachā€¦when they should be at homeā€¦they think they are on anticipated holidays.

This is a pretty ignorant thing to say Catā€¦Big deal if some of us donā€™t hide in our house all day, to appease everyone else. Iā€™m heading out to idiotically walk my dogs in the sun, and forest instead of hiding in fear, and doing what everyone else wants me to do. Why should they not go outside just because others are too scared to?

US has declared a national state of emergency.

Donā€™t worry, the government is ā€œunleashing the power of the private sectorā€ to use this as an opportunity to divert public funds to a new test that will help certain individuals make loads of money on emergency funds. Could any of the old tests do that?

Quick question regarding thatā€¦Can they enact Martial Law over this, like they can over natural disasters?

I believe that would be one of the powers to deploy the national guard at the national level. Mostly, they have the ability to cut through certain legalities to take quick action including having access to a large rainy-day fund.

States can certainly do this individually if they declare a state emergency.

It wasnā€™t ā€œmost familiesā€ their population only skewed as such 1.15 males for every female. World average is 1.05. Men canā€™t reproduce, reducing females is the most effective form of population control.

Jeezus, I remember what happened in New Orleans, after Hurricane Katrinaā€¦
