If I had relied on the govt., WHO, CDC or the MSM I certainly would be caught now with my pants down and probably posting things like the above.
To plain ignore what is literally exploding before your eyes would be self-defeating if it had no effect on others. YOUR attitude is what gets people sick, and maybe dead.
I don’t know Italy, never been there, but for once alternate and mainstream news sites are agreeing with the data from front line dr’s social media feeds that are showing a system on verge of collapse.
You can reasonably derive from that countries like Iran and China, who never once felt an urge to come clean to the West, haven’t been giving raw data.
Then bet your (and those you’re responsible for)lives whether or not Italy can’t happen here.
And according to a science publication I’ve posted several times before, this thing or a virus very much like Wuhan was created in a lab in 2007, so those that read that doc know better.

This is where I disagreed with a lot of posts early on in this crisis.
Many folks seem to think that, what by our standards, Chinese marketplaces being filthy as a purveyor of disease don’t count in the likelyhood that may grant those people’s immunity or at least resistance.
My good friend traveled extensively through India several times and each time came home deathly ill.
He said the national air of India, a smell common to every place he visited, smelled like equal measures of both death and human manure.
Yet folks I know from India are healthy as can be.

Some one called this novel corona virus the “Wuhan” virus and was immediately labeled racist.
I’m pretty sure I’m a racist, at least as much as those that proclaim they ain’t, and I don’t see how that is possible.
To do otherwise would dishonor the victims of all the other disease outbreaks that had been named for the originating locale.
And the list is long.
From now on, for me, it’s Wuhan virus.

Its gotten real for me.
I got a call tonight from my daughter. She is an RN who works in nursing homes and hospice centers all over King, Thurston, and Pierce counties, training the caregivers. She and my 10 yr old granddaughter both have coughing, and sneezing. No fevers yet, but I am still really worried. They are self quarantining. She is self employed and staying home with no income for two or three weeks is going to be really hard on her financially.
The worst part is, they were both out selling Girl Scout cookies for the last two weeks. No idea if thats where they got it, or if my granddaughter got it at school, or?
My mom, wife, both brothers and sister, and I are all at hi risk for multiple reasons - and we have all been with my granddaughter and daughter recently.
This is real people. Those of you making light of it can go fuck yourself.

Of course it’s real , just like every other virus they let loose on us, but if you use simple precautions, like you should be doing everyday…like common sense. You should be fine.
No matter what, some people ate gonna get it no what they do. That’s just the way it is.
But to go hoarding, walk around with diy hazmat suits on, and be In total hysteria?

Local news showed a couple people almost that bad picking their kids up from school in Tampa.

Now while the ban on gun sales is unconstitutional it would take someone fighting it for it to be overturned. With the way people are cheering the stripping of freedom I highly doubt anyone will challenge. The problem with freedoms being taken is they are gone and you now have to fight to get them back. Those at risk know they are and know to take precautions, those that have family at risk know and know to take precautions. We do not need this much govt control period. This shit has been around for months and some of you have probably had it and recovered or know someone who has. My sister-in-law ( a nurse) has been saying they’ve been getting people with fever, sneezing and coughing that lasts 3-4 weeks for months and labeling it an upper respiratory infection because flu tests were negative. If you could go back and retest those more than likely it was covid-19.

Thanks…I hadn’t seen those reports. I am sooooo glad not to live a state like those. Nevada is not perfect, but we still have our freedom and my ammo locker is full.
I have no idea who is cheering the stripping away of our freedoms…it certainly is not me or anyone that I know!
Freedom is easier to come by than to keep, as there is always some one wanting to take it away!

But for govt. to provide for the common good it must be prepared for mass disorder the shopping mania is just hinting at.
A great pandemic can be a vehicle for such a suspension
Free men and women need to prepare for quarantine and martial law and the aftermath.
