I reached out via the AC Infinity chat and they gave zero concessions, not even crediting shipping, but magically today the tracking# now says “received by UPS” and “in transit to destination” as of last night.

So it looks like AC Infinity shipped a week late. Conveniently scheduled to be delivered on July 22…the last day before a shipping claim can be made. Hopefully that’s in time…

On another note, I’ve asked a few people but wanted to float this idea and get public feedback. So we’re going out of town for a little over 2wks on July 29. That will be day 59F for this run. Clones I’m going to save in a City Pickers and just have them vegging either under a skylight or maybe in that same tent. But for these plants in flower, I have no way to water them except the SIPs after we leave.

The question is - do I harvest everything at day 58F (day before we leave) and hang it in the tent with humidity controls from the existing fan/filter combo, or let them ride while we’re gone? Fill up the rezzes, turn down the lights, and pray?

I feel like the Good Medicine will be fine if harvested at 58F, but the chem d obviously won’t be done. Do they drink enough in that final two weeks to need refilling, or do you think I could let them die on the vine and hope they’re not too far gone by the time we return?

I was even thinking I could do a combo. harvest the GM on day 58F and then let the D ride it out in her spot while the rest dries while we’re gone. I’m leaning towards fill them up, maybe top water a little, turn down the lights, and pray they’re still alive when I get back.

Thoughts?

I’d do everything you mention. Fill er up, turn lights down, turn temps down if you can, and also defoliate some more too.

But also 2 weeks is a stretch for either way you go. You could miss your mark drying and over dry for a few days. Or your plants could die on the vine as you say.

Man, @CrunchBerries and @LegsMahoney … y’all are giving me hobby regret today. Feel like like I picked the wrong stuff to do now lol

I mean, even if you did harvest them, that’d mean you’d be gone for two weeks while they were hanging. Are you more comfortable being gone while they dry than you are just letting them grow while you’re gone? I think I’d let them ride and chop when you got back.

That’s a dilemma, for sure… haha.

Second vote for letting em ride, if they’re on thier way out I don’t think it could hurt to let them basically die on the vine like you said, especially if you’re gonna walk in the door when you get back and cut em anyway

Personally I would try to prep them to ride it out. Big defoliation, filled and watered, etc.

I would rather be on site as much as possible during the dry phase just incase.

I say let it ride and chop when you get back. You should have a week on the reservoir and a week just on the soils moisture.

I usually hate gifs and memes and shit, but, uh… Nice fucking gif! And now I can’t get,”Mistah Bustah/ Where the fuck you at/Can’t scrap a lick/so I know you got yo’ gat,” outta my head haha. I think I’ll listen to that album while I water today…

I just re-watched “The Defiant Ones” a couple days ago. I dunno if y’all have ever seen that lil four-part series, but if you haven’t, check it out. I love Dre. And Jimmy Iovine, too haha. It’s actually pretty inspiring. I mean, if I wanted to be a billionaire… haha! It is crazy, though, how some motherfuckers just know,”This is good and worth putting out there.” If you know, you know…

So I set up the self watering system for earthboxes and I have to say, these may be a game changer for me . I just need to see if I can cement the tubing , or quickly sort of weld it with heat and not have the tubing burn or anything . It’s hard to connect the tubing all together compared to a blumat system with the rubber tubing. It doesn’t have my full confidence just quite yet to the point I will leave it on as earthnox suggests, but I also am considering maybe a wifi timer like this where it runs long enough to fill the EB’s. As a back up means of not flooding the tent.

RAINPOINT Sprinkler Timer WiFi Water Timer, Smart Garden Hose Faucet Timer, WiFi Lawn Sprinkler Controller Irrigation System Valve, APP & Voice Control, Automatic Rain Delay, for Outdoor Yard Pool https://a.co/d/a7DHC6u

Hi @nube .I may have read that CBD plants can be chopped earlier than THC dom. plants. BUT worth researching first.

Agree w minitiger and everyone else. Def. let most of the plants live for 2 more weeks. Alive, the plants are in a stable environment. Most important is to get the fan(s) set up for airflow before you leave. The plants will be fine while you’re gone. I’ve been in the same situation several times. Worst thing that happened was plants wilted some.

But once plants are chopped, you would be in a race against time against mold, over-drying etc. And you will regret having early chopped buds that didn’t reach full potential.

EDIT. Very imprtant safeguard:
Maybe add extra support for the larger buds, so that if by chance the plants do wilt, the buds don’t fall over, bend, break or lean against the walls.

Opened up the worm bin this evening and a rotten pumpkin’s seeds have sprouted.

Broke out my collection of scopes, as I’m thinking SS4 B @52f is hitting the home stretch.

Some quick numbers from my first SIP and being away from farming:
1 plant : fem cannarado seed purple bubblegum biscotti, started in a solo cup before planting in SIP.
1 earthbox with organic amended (aged or “cooked” after amending) pro-mix, top dressed with BAS stuff.
1 HLG 350R lamp
4x7x8 closet.
7 week veg, chop 65 days after flip.No IPM. Never sprayed with anything. No issues at all and verdant green throughout the grom. Top-dressed twice (at flip and 3 weeks later) with compost (BAF), malted barley, and craft blend.

Yield: 7.8 zips hand-trimmed flower, 3/4 gallon sugar trim and popcorn (frozen for bubble).

Very happy with the trouble-free grow, and after half cure, the smoke is smooth and packs a nice warm wallop of a buzz, that has legs. No real bubblegum flavor, but sweet gassy terps instead - which I like very much. PS I grow 1 plant because not cool to grow here, know wham sayin? 6 seeds left in the pack, LOL.
