Fascinating to see the info in these old books.
With the spine broken on that old book it would be easy to make a decent .pdf book from it with a flatbed scanner. I have a real old 'How To Stash ’ book from back in the day I did that with. I’d upload it but it’s 60meg so too big to put here.
Who do we talk to about having a spot where we can upload grow guides and other good pot/drug related stuff like that? Be handy to have a library to browse in or send nOObs so they can do their own research.
JotNotPro for the iPhone. It’s simple and creates pdfs for you. Have been using it for years.
So that’s where all the old wive’s tales, opposition to fertilizer, and other growing nonsense comes from.
Well the book it pro-fertilizer so not sure where you’re seeing that. Even tells you how to get it.
That’s the book that helped me figure out not only how to grow ganja, but to harvest nice
flowers as well. I now realize just how much that book changed my life.
Big thanks to Ed and Mel.
Ok, well it took a bit of an afternoon but I got the thing scanned. I did my best to make everything legible, but the scans depended on me being able to hold steady which is just outside my wheelhouse, but I think I got it all done well enough, even if it took some re-tries. Hopefully this link works for everyone. If someone knows a better spot to upload it I can.
You rock, dude.
I’m only halfway through the book, but so far the most interesting thing to me keeps coming back to using males/leaves for TCH/CBD. This book wasn’t the first place I heard about smoking leaves, I’ve actually had an old timer ask me for my leaves (I give him bud though and he is much happier with that). But up until now I was convinced that short of sugar leaves/fans in proximity to buds, cannabis leaves didn’t have cannabinoids in them. I was wrong. After doing some supplemental research it turns out there’s up to 3% by weight, usually leaning towards <1% on average though. So taking into context the ratios/potency of older cannabis it actually does make some amount of sense to focus on leaf production, since leaves could potentially make up 25% of your total cannabinoid content easy. Nowadays I’d wager a whole plants’ worth of leaves doesn’t equal a few grams worth of bud, so it hardly seems worth ingesting. But it does reinforce my beliefs in the value of composting cannabis leaves for organic growing.
Also, retroactively makes a lot more of the book make sense since it talks specifically about breeders growing for leaves which to me seems like a tertiary attribute at best.
This is so neat to see old books about cannabis ! I’m gonna go through the pfd when I get a chance love historic stuff lol
Thank you for taking the time to scan it for all of us!
Thank you KINDly!
Thanx!
