DannyTerpintine's Digging For Diamonds Pheno Hunt Room

I thought I should add… even if a plant passes my entire criteria, it still must perform. It must be potent, it must be an experience, it must have very good medicinal qualities, and it must maintain those qualities even if I smoke it daily for months on end. If bud JUST looks great and gets me high … that is not what I’m looking for.

Here is my Mac Stomper F2 project;
(both parents hold basically the exact same terp profile (the male a little more complex on the stem rub though).
The female is straight citrus lemooonnnnn, maybe a touch of orange… very citrus, backed by this musky earthy kush.
The male was citrus, orangey-lemon, earthy, musky, old school kush, vanilla cream.
A very nice body stone, while still maintaining some mental clarity. You can be heavily medicated but still do desk work if needed. Very good for physical pain, muscle pain, extremely good for nausea as well.

(Most of those male pics were taken around 14 days flower! Look at that frost!) Last pics are Mac stomper buds holding the F2s.

Got the Mac Stomper F2’s into their cups. Yeah I let them go a day or two too long. They were all really easy to transplant though! (All the red cups in perlite in the storage bins). Yeah I need to go get more trays lol.
…Oh and the room, remember simple! My DIY Cob build (20 x 65w cobs) + an HLG 550 B-spec. Dehumidifer for flower, heater for seedlings, wall fan, and my rez. Not much more going on in there. (no mylar, and maybe I’ll get to painting that wall eventually…)

are your lights really bright? they seem pretty high above the seedlings, so they would stretch in my experience. I’m not tremendously experienced though. for example, I don’t know what the benefit of your aqua system is.

Currently at 24", 50% strength. I will turn it up to around 80% once I know the seedlings have settled into their cups. I could bring them down to 18" being cobs… but I can’t bring down the HLG unit that much without potentially stressing/burning them, so I will keep everything even and up the cobs %strength.

Even if they stretch a bit, you won’t be able to tell after the first transplant.

So tell me a little more about this chemo strain.

A couple various pics of my keeper. (Different runs/nugs, different lighting.) It was Pheno number1 - and I had bought 5 packs that I was ready to hunt through (I did go through a few still.)

It’s a UBC Chemo dominant Pheno of Remo Chemo (UBC Chemo x Pre98 Bubba reversed). It has no noticeable influence from the bubba in any way I can see. (I’ve had people tell me it looks like the original chemo they’ve had years ago, and I’ve had people describe their chemo and it be exactly what mine is.

… This spicey, piney, musky, dirty sock, kushy, kush.

I wanted to S1 her/work her. Tried CS before and it did not work. Major light leaks will not cause herms either.

Insanely insanely medicinally effective for pain. (I can not even begin to explain just how great it is for pain relief!) If you have nausea or can’t eat this will help. Can be overwhelmingly potent - I’ve seen beginners have a panic attack over 2 puffs on a joint. Hits instantly, but will hit you even harder 10-15minutes after you finish. Amazing nights sleep and you will not wake up groggy the next morning. Almost narcotic or like edibles. But still some what of a 60/40 or 50/50hybrid.

Had this cut for almost 6 years now… been through sooooo much shit! Smoke her daily for months-on-months-on-months-on-end and I can still “have too much”.

So it’s been 4 days since I transplanted most of them. The bigger ones (Kashmir and Columbian Gold were done about 2 days before the rest.)

First pic are Bucketlist and Purple Zoo Keeper.
Second pic, square perlite are Oregon Huckleberry IBL '15 and Lando’s Stash. (I had one no go on the Lando’s stash, so 4/5.)
Third pic is an assortment of my crosses.
Fourth pic is (left two rows) Columbian Gold x Mac, (right row) Kashmir.
Fifth pic, too stoned to remember atm lol
The last two pics of the close up perlite cups are my Mac Stomper F2s.

Unfortunately my Bullfighter and Ghost’s P98 Bubba S1 did not germinate. The bullfighter was a coin toss of very old stock I won in an auction, and the p98 was my second try - the first time they did not germinate either (don’t know how old they were or how they were stored originally.)

Also, the second half of my Project 4516 BX (From Grandiflora) gave me just as hard of a time as the first half of the pack did. (2 duds, 2 runts, 3 semi germinated and stalled from an extremely over priced pack of 10 seeds. So I’m left with 1 nice looking seedling for this run. Not a company I will be supporting again - their customer service is non-existent.) I’d like to take blame but those trays full of seedlings say otherwise… idk?

Everything is looking pretty good so far. I popped a couple more of my personal stuff as well as 3 Candy Paint from DVG - to take the place of the non-germinators. (90% have shown tails in water in under 24 hours. Those were thrown in a cup of water yesterday.)

…can’t wait until I can start snnnnifffingg them!

About 7 days here.

Already have my eye on two Kashmir Phenos. (Pheno 2 and 3… we’ll see what they end up like in a few weeks!)
There is one obvious Columbian Gold (C.G. x Mac) leaning Pheno (Which is what I’m looking for.) Pheno 4.
My Mac Stomper F2s look very promising! (They’re the last two pics)
Very happy with what I’m seeing from the Oregon Huckleberry IBL so far. I’m liking what I’m seeing with the 1 and 5, and the 2 might also be nice.

Oh, And I’ve been feeding them a little high 650-700ppm. Just to see how some of them react. Will bump it back down a bit now.

11 Days Here.

They’re slightly on the underwatered side - should be watered twice a day, I’ve been doing once a day. Will be switching to 2x starting tonight.

First pic (left tray 5 cups = herijuana, top tray = swackhammer, UBC chemo x Lando’s stash, middle tray = Oregon huckleberry ibl '15 and bottom row of middle tray is Lando’s Stash, Bottom tray = purple zoo keeper and centre of bottom tray is bucket list.)

Third pic, (back tray = my genetics, middle tray back two rows = Colombian Gold x Mac, middle tray from row = Kashmir Asad, front tray is also my genetics.)

Last 4 pics of trays ( perlite cups are all Mac stomper f2. Not include the 9 seedlings. (2 of my 3 Candy Paint germinated successfully.)

Very last picture is my (Mac Stomper x Lando’s Stash). Temp always 25C/78F, showing in about 30% of the Lando’s off-spring. Straight green on top, purple veins, straight purple underneath.

13 days… here’s some of the girls that have caught my eye for far.

…of course there are other interesting ones I will be transplanting as well. But these ones have their stand out traits.

Named the pictures this time, so hopefully that shows.

You may have noticed my coco cups are also “Hempy” Style. I would have normally put holes in the bottom but did not anticipate going coco with them, but ran out of perlite. So been a little battle balancing enough water while not allowing any water to pool up at the bottom.
…roots are getting close to the bottoms now so I will be transplanting into 1.5gals in a day or two. (Will most likely finish in those 1.5gal containers.)

17 days, just got transplanted into 1.5 gallon pots.Give them about a week and they should be happy!

Will finish in these pots. Probably veg another 2-3 weeks, until around 3-3.5ft tall. Then flip and they should finish around 5.5-6.5ft.

So I have about 35 cups I did not transplant into 1.5 gallons. (Mostly just my strains, so I can afford to be a little aggressive with culling what I’m not feeling.)
…is it posssibly that there’s some random unicorn in there - maybe.
…but I’m looking for plants that show off from start to finish, so a little aggressive with the culling never hurt. (And when I see a plant that’s evidently nice, it’s hard for some of the not so nice Phenos to compare.)
…I may just throw them in a separate tent to flower earlier so they don’t get too root bound.

Everything below was transplanted.
