DannyTerpintine's Digging For Diamonds Pheno Hunt Room

This is my Giant Pheno Hunt Room. The rules of the room - keep it simple but keep it proper, and always keep it clean! I like to beat things up from time to time… if they produce what I like when I beat them up and they’re still stable - well that tells me something!

Rebuilding my “stable” … I like to have a few solid females and males on hand to work with.

I will do my best to document this, there will be quite a lot. All the black bags with silver writing are my own work. (I have released some previous work under a label/brand. Although probably not one you know yet… but not for long! )

So what I’ve got this run is, the second half of a Project 4516 BX pack, A heck ton of my Mac Stomper F2 (I plant to work to f3…4…), Bucketlist, Oregon Huckleberry IBL 15’, Bullfighter, Ghost’s P98 Bubba Kush S1 (not sure on germination potential), second half of a Lando’s Stash pack, Kashmir, Diggin’ into some more Herijuana, Purple Zoo Keeper, and Columbian Gold x Mac.
…plus some of the black/silver packs of my work.

The below germination pics are after 24hours in a cup of water + 16 hours in paper towel.

I got these ones into cups as they were getting way to big. The rest I will do in a day or two (despite there being some really big ones in the bunch too.)

The 10 on the right are Columbian Gold x Mac. (The first two pics.)
The 5 on the left are the Kashmir. (the second set of pics)
Last pic, Kashmir 5 on the bottom.

Thanks guys!

@dequilo Hempy style for the seedlings. I find you can push them a little longer in there if you don’t want to transplant too quick. I will most likely end up putting everything into straight coco though.

Got most of the remaining seedlings transplanted. A couple empty cups as some need a few more days germinating. (Even these ones pictured below should have been transplanted a day ago, but no biggie.) (Still have to transplant my 40+ Mac stomper f2 though…)

My bullfighter don’t seem to be doing too much yet… just keeping good vibrations on those… (they were a very pricey auction win, but I did recognize the gamble of anything can happen.)

how do you start to segregate ?? seems like a lot of seeds, I assume you will kill off more than half??

kill is such a harsh word :frowning:

these little guys are taking one for the team as they say

They’ll kill themselves off technically. I’m only interested in what I’m interested in - those will get up-potted and moved to more optimal spots under the lights. Everything else gets pushed to the side.

Eventually I will kill of any runts or anything that looks like it will be a bigger pain to trim than it will be to grow (ie. it’s scraggly, weak, no structure, etc.)

I’m guessing I should have at least 30% males… 30-50 you never know. Out of the males you usually won’t find one that’s a star… so when you do it’s quite evident.

My main focus is not Removing but Selecting. Usually within two weeks (seedlings) I will being mental or written notes (with this count, both). I see my plants very often, I get to know them… to the point where at the end of my harvest, say 100 phenos in 100 separate jars… you could pull out any random jar and I can tell you what Strain AND what Pheno just by looking at the nug and smelling it.

One day I want to find a favorite strain and work it. Try to add or subtract, work it for me. It will be awhile before I am ready for that.
