hey!! I got family in the desert, awesome place to live if it wasn’t for the heat lol, if temps are an issue window ac’s are cheap, at least in ca, I scored a 5k btu for like 150$ here at Home Depot, does 60f and keeps my room somewhat chilly during the heat here, and gets my bud purple, just draws a ton of power and can short out your circuit breaker if youre not careful, you’ll need to reset the circuit at the circuit breaker, or you can call an electrician (dont trust friends) and they can upgrade the circuit

if you dont want to mount an ac unit, and your mileage may vary (ymmv), just setup a table with books and stuff and make SURE its stable, and place the ac on there and leave some layaway for the units back, which exhausts hot air

now the condenser (takes air and cools It down) can leak if it the unit isnt even and balanced, and leak on the floor and maybe cause a fire, but ymmv, ive been using one for a year or so, some units leak more some units leak less from my experience

I have a cheap 8k btu (I think) split unit ac in my grow room that does what I need. I don’t go below 72 on it or else it starts dripping condensate like crazy when it’s working hard. So my dry temps are usually around 75-80 in the summer but the winter I can get 60/60 easily for dry, and the temps in the grow hover around 70 with no extra heat.

I ran mine to 70 days, but that’s just about my standard. The one I had could have maybe went to 11 weeks but I was very satisfied with 10 weeks.
