Hey @ReikoX I just wanted to let you know I just dropped all 16 of the GWKxJLO beans I got from you! Psyched to run these!

I am thinking my rough plan will be to grow these in my veg area for a few weeks until the 50% that are auto show themselves. At which point I will probably F-gen the auto’s, either as an OP or with selected parents, depending on what kind of variability I see in veg/early bloom, and if there are any obvious standout(s). My space constraints when the time comes may also influence my decision.

Then I will run the photo females as a sinsemilla bud run, hopefully as an outdoor spring crop (weather permitting), and cull the photo males…

I will make sure to tag you if/when I post pics…

Wish me luck :crossed_fingers:!

Also @ReikoX are the GWKxJLO:

  1. 50%pp and 50%Pp
  2. 50%pp, 25%Pp, and 25%PP
  3. Other (explain)

Thanks!

I tried to make F2s with the few autos I popped from my GWK x JLO pack, and all my seeds ended up just shell husks. Maybe just because I only had 1 male and it was the issue, but not sure. Hope you can have some better results. I still have some beans left and I wanted to try again, but I’ll watch your run before I attempt again.

Good luck buddy!

If you want anymore of those, lemme know. :yum:

I will keep you apprised with how it goes!
100% hollow shells is wired for sure.

Was it 1male on 1 female? Or multiple females?
Were the beans fully formed? Or did they have a deformed half (blossom end rot/CalMag deficiency)?
Hopefully it was condition related not genetic related and I have better luck.

How did the plants grow for you? Anything stand out?

BTW, HAPPY NEW YEAR @Rhino_buddy !!!

It was one of my earlier attempts at making seeds with autos, so it was most likely an issue of my own. I pollenated 2 branches with GWK male pollen, and then a couple other branches with SSD x NL auto pollen. All the seeds ended up the same. They seemed to be formed, but never matured. Just golden shells that crushed with ease. It was just one female I pollenated and saved the runty one for sinsemilla. The buds were great! Seeds just never turned into anything.

Also, Happy New Year good buddy.

The GWK was full auto (pp). The JLo was heterozygous (Pp).

My cab of Freakshow… (from @PetalPowerseed seeds)

And a Ghost Rose from @ReikoX by way of @Rhino_buddy grown in a 1gal square pot in amended, recycled soil, chopped at day 89 from when I dropped the seed into water. So probably like 82 days± from emergence…

And regarding the GWKxJLO from @ReikoX, 15/16 beans popped tails and were planted. So far 11 have emerged and are growing, 1 emerged and has since died, and 3 have yet to emerge, but 1 of those broke the tip of its root coming out of it’s shell in the soaking glass. I planted it anyways but I did not expect it to survive…

And I am stuck in bubblegum seed shucking hell… but putting in an hour each morning…and I am closer to the finish than to the start…

They look so good!

Those are some fancy, frilly freaks! Beautiful plants @Dirtron !

And that ghost rose looks nice and dense. What seeds came off it? Not the herm issue is it?

Good work man!

I think they are x CareBears Auto, but could also be Space Wiz Auto. I had a male of each pop a flower or 2 before I got them moved outside…

Hey @Mr.Sparkle just wanted to let you know I got 5 more of your Trizzlers wet today!

I love the heavy branching structure on the 1 I have running right now.

Thanks again!

yeah they seem to be dense plants, i dont mind genetics that stretch a bit and have mainly bud sites at the end as i usually find those inner nodes sometimes go to waste but :man_shrugging: i grow or should say i facilitate in helping the plants grow

Love is in the air!

Here is my grow cab full of Freakshow, 6F 3M. Pollen is flying!

The girls are in white 5gal square pots, the males are in 1gallon black square pots.

Speaking of freaky weed…

This popped up in my 4-site-solo-cup DWC setup that I made for @Indoornesian ’s cup challenge (which I sadly failed to keep sufficiently updated to compete). It is a CinderEvil from @Mr.Sparkle and it’s cohort-mates all formed totally normal buds, but this one… it grows one single bladed leaf, one calyx, then a bit of stem, repeat…

These pics were taken after a root pruning, and a day and night outdoors fully exposed (to hopefully UV irradiate her for higher cannabinoids, and cold shock her to max out the color) in anticipation of chopping her, so she is pretty droopy and stressed in this pic. I then decided to prune off all her fan leaves and put her back in her spot in the DWC for a few more days…to get a better pic or 3 before the chop…

Sadly I didn’t hit it with any pollen so unless I get lucky I don’t know if I will ever see this mutation again…

If this trait could be captured/stabilized it could be interesting to cross to Freakshow, to make the ultimate stealth plant, without recognizable leaves or buds, but yield would take a major hit…

@Mr.Sparkle, @ReikoX, @Rhino_buddy, @TestOfOath, @Slick1, @Oldtimerunderground any of you guys seen this before?

fellow robot in the house, had not seen your grow before.

you have some really nice seed selection and setup. very interested, tracking this.

Yeah, that comes up every once in a while with the Dark Devil and crosses from @Mr.Sparkle.

Thx, I was just in your thread this morning…

Thanks for chiming in!

Now I know where to go looking if I want to try and chase it down!

Got some Freakshow pollen on ice, if I ever see it again, and have a hankering to breed the least productive strain ever…

@Mr.Sparkle is this the “loose/fluffy” pheno I have seen you mention? If so is it usually this extreme? And more hard won info/observations you care to share on this trait?
