and that one is more excessive than others, usually i toss the plants myself as soon as i start seeing the structure which is usually early flower, though isn’t very often anymore.

And back burner project at somepoint i want to isolate that as a “garden bed variety” as the nice good coverage versions can just look like a decorative bush but actually yield quite well, and are covered from stem to tip in trichomes

Just ballpark…
How frequently do you see this “willow pheno”in the Dark Sparks?
In the CinderEvil?
1/10, 1/20, 1/50, 1/100…?

I had the one cinderevil I popped grow out exactly like that. I was disappointed, but the smoke was still decent actually. Gonna try more soon. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

on the cinderevils maybe between 1/10-1/20 really no idea as its been rare for me.

though i have some seeds tucked away where the mother used exhibited that trait, also SaintAlias just chopped down a WeddingCake auto the other day that did the same i believe its in her thread.

I’ve never seen anything like that even in pictures I don’t think. Looks almost like a molecule or something in the last pic!

My buddy said he grew out 4 and they all had that “willow leaf” going on. I dunno what those chances are, but I believe him. He kept asking me what the seeds I gave him were. And they were his first autos too. No wonder he said he didn’t care for them. Lol

Just a few pics of the Freakshow males…

They are pretty spent…

Collected pollen again this morning…

The girls are seeded from top to bottom!

Chopped these into segments to dry on parchment paper for a final collection.

I feel kinda dumb for asking, as I know you don’t really F/with males, but have you seen or heard of the “willow” pheno popping up in a male @Mr.Sparkle (and @ReikoX)?

@SaintAliasKnife I heard upthread :point_up_2: that you also ran into a “willow” pheno. Any info to add about this weirdness?

cant say I know much to talk about. my willow structure was very different and I believe caused by stress.

if they were crossed to some regular pollen im sure some males would pop out.

I am playing with the auto sexing “feature” of the f1’s. They call it auto-sexing in chickens anyway. I am also playing with heavy selections for vigor. Growing a mom right now that is stout branchy pheno for the FS and I have a dream queen male (renamed green crack by humbolt seed company so same people). The dream queen is also a very stocky verity but it finishes at 55day and should up yield/bag appeal. I will be giving away F1’s so people can help me test the auto-sexing feature to see if any of the un ferned plants are male.

well if your crossing an auto with a photo period your f1’s none will be autos and will be only photos, its only on the next subsequent generation of crossing where the auto trait will pop out in 25% of the plants, all cause its a recessive trait.

@Mr.Sparkle NOT what I am doing just to be clear. auto-sexing not flowering. auto-sexing is being able to tell the gender by the leafs. nothing to do with photo period. I have a degree in biology believe me I got this and I will let you see what I mean when I am done.

ahh was unsure what your were referring to, but yeah i can see one being able to breed in specifics where the leaves will tell you or be like its subsequent parent, or at least maybe just in f1’s
