There are too many people out there suffering that don’t have to be.
I agree, it has never been necessary to illegalize it
The government knows cannabis is a great drug. The science has repeatedly proved cannabis medical benefits.
It’s the high level of abuse among underage users that give cannabis it’s bad rep.
The stoner movies don’t help either. We like them it’s funny, but it’s giving the medicine a bad reputation. Every time I turn on the tv, I see someone hitting a joint or blunt. I never see a cancer patient making rso in a movie. Between the movies and the rappers, I’m surprised that legalization has came as far as it has.
Had a friend use to make oil with butane gas and a piece of pipe
You need to do this outside lol
Get a piece of pipe copper or steel pack it full of your shake
And get a can of butane gas and empty it into the pipe you can put some duct tap on the end you’re going to stick the tip of the butane can in,oh yeah wear gloves it gets cold
Have a glass bowl below you it’s going to start running out the bottom of the pipe
Once the butane has burnt off your left with honey oil
But like I said you need to do this outside
I feel like it was to silence a certain crowd during the Vietnam war… it was political bs
Ugh hate that butane though… better taste I think pressing it… especially with cold plates to toss in between just after
That’s more bho isn’t it?
What’s bho
He would let it dry out a bit then wrap it in plastic and put it in his shoe and walk around the neighborhood
Then he would take it out and roll it into balls,it was pretty strong hash
There is a video of Rick Simpson making it.
His approach seems to be practical and simple.
He washes it twice in Isopropyl alcohol (99%), then boils it in a rice cooker until the alcohol is gone. DONE.
He does a third wash, and says that is the stuff he uses for topical application on skin lesions etc.
Claims he had it tested and it decarbed perfectly.
Now, you can get more involved, and probably get better results… But just to get up and running it doesn’t have to be so complicated.
edit to add. Ventilation and safety should be mentioned. Alcohol vapor is heavier than air, to it will accumulate in the upper portion of your boiling container, and can ignite. Aim a fan near it to make sure it doesn’t build up, and keep all open flames away. Do it outside.
It stands for butane hash oil… but you can get the same results practically by using a press as well
I don’t care for that either, to me the high feels chemical. I am not on the bandwagon for hitting our non-addictive herb with an addictive substance, kind of kills the idea behind using cannabis. Just MO.
Cannabis oil is my main stay I feel the same, my mom passed way too early to help her, I remember spending countless nights trying to find a study that would accept her. My mom passed in my living room, lung cancer that had metastized to her brain, I sucked foam from her mouth and nose for 9 hours before she passed, haunts me to this day. Than my dad had COPD and Parkinson’s, I could have helped him but he died in 2009 and I didn’t start making oil until 2010. Cancer is horrid, I don’t know of many who have not been touched by it in some way.
Yeah… same there’s really only horror stories associated with it… the medicine like chemo is so destructive… my dad was helping my mom out of the car back then after chemo one day and her arm just broke in his hands… saddest shit I’ve ever seen… was my dad cry and my mom suffer like that…
My best friend of 20 years died of cancer last year, his partner got a brain tumor first when they cut that out of her,she couldn’t remember anyone not even her kids they where grown up and still living at home they were from her ex husband, she never had kids to my friend, then he got cancer and was looking at his partner she was bed ridden, lady use to jog 5 miles a day before the tumor, she died a year later
God rest her soul
My friend had pancreatic cancer they took his spleen out
Pumped him full of chemo he had a port on his chest for the chemo,he beat it second time around it was in his liver the lot we tried all the oils and shit
Nothing worked
I miss him we did lot of shit together lol motorcycle rides camping trips, can’t even walk the dogs passed his old house anymore
Fuxk cancer
We need the correct info to treat cancer correctly, Chemo and radiation is for the birds. Sorry for all who had loved ones pass.
I have made oil from Naptha, Acetone, ISO, Everclear, and Organic alcohol. We have come a long way since Rick Simpson, but thank God he showed us the way. Naptha, the smell alone tells you that Ain’t right ha!
Your research is wrong. Chlorophyll is non-toxic, and at worst might cause diarrhea if you have too much of it. The actual taste of chlorophyll isolate is light and a little minty, not particularly bad at all; it’s the plant matter that gives badly-made edibles their bad flavor, not the chlorophyll. Once again, bro science has failed us all.
Also, @Gardenartus just explained earlier in the thread how to make RSO without the chlorophyll being extracted. You just need to use high-proof ethanol rather than naphtha or isopropyl, and extract in the freezer. It’s more expensive and kind of a pain, imo, and doesn’t impact the final product much at all. I make edibles with RSO that don’t have a trace of “chlorophyll taste” to them, despite extracting with isopropyl… unless you’re making something tiny like gummies, in which case I could see it potentially being a problem. I haven’t tried them. In that case, I’d just make the RSO without extracting the chlorophyll and accept a slightly smaller yield.
Good find about not needing the chlorophyll.
I read so much that i can’t keep track of it.
Right now I’m not dealing with any cancer patients so I don’t know how the lack of chlorophyll effects them.
For pain management and nerve damage, I don’t see any negative effects from not having chlorophyll.
No to be negative brother. Of course I could be wrong. If I find the report again, I’ll post it.
Md Anderson cancer institute speaks highly of chlorophyll in a non synthetic form.
The institute suggests that chlorophyll does exhibit some Anti inflammatory properties which are always a benefit to health.
Here is a link to their findings What are the benefits of drinking chlorophyll? | MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Like I said, I read a lot. Probably more than I should. If it has to do with cannabis I read it rather I agree with it or not.
Rso seems to be helping many people, so I wouldn’t risk my life by removing the chlorophyll from it if I was treating cancer.
Wouldn’t you get chlorophyll eating greens or salads? Isn’t that what makes leaves green?
