I had a Plymouth Valiant that had the push button tranny on the dash.
I liked that car a lot.
Did it have the slant six @BigMike55 ? Mine did.
I love a slant six. You can’t blow one up with at stick of dynamite!
You could not that is the truth, and I tried. Dodge darts. They love that slant six and I had a bunch of them.
I had the 69 Dart Swinger. It was amazingly fast for a slant six. I don’t know if it was all original but it had the 6cyl.
Love the 340 with the six pack. Yeah I was a Mopar man back in the day. I had the big monster, shifter, pistol grip you can see through the windshield. Had a 850 Holley double pumper you couldn’t keep that on the road. I blew the motor. I’ll put a bigger cam in there. I thought 340 duration it wasn’t nothing. I was smoking a joint at the river with my buddy when I was in school… so we put the roach in the ashtray. Those cars had huge ashtrays. This car I got for my guy that smoked. So I dumped ashtray out there were roaches in there the size of my finger. I couldn’t believe it. I have been driving around in that 70 dodge. And we’re all moved out at the time you had to go to the older folks to get it then. He was cool he was just crazy. Oh, redheaded, Irish.
I’ve seen some of those, and I’ve always wanted one. I like them with both the six cylinder and the 340. The ones I had were four doors. I actually like four doors so much easier to get in and out of. Plus those cars are cheaper.
Much cheaper.
I got an old Fairlane for $75 one time. The fuel pump is bad. I can say that is one thing my dad told me back in the day that most the time with those cars it was usually the fuel line dodge was bad about the little ceramic starter. Whatever it was on the fire wall.
The little electrical thing on the fire wall had something to do with the ignition. It was ceramic, and it would burn out.
My slang is so bad. Loo
Starter relay
It was something different. It wasn’t the starter relay. It was white and was about 4 inches long. I had one wire on one side and one on the other side. When you went with the electronic ignition, you bypassed all that. But you’re probably right it could’ve been called that also. There was actually a flux capacitor in a car.
You’re talking about a ballast resistor (aka. an ignition coil resistor).
Peace. I’ll hit you up tomorrow. Later!!!
Have fun brother.

The rambler American also had those buttons they were cool
Yeah @Papalag my grandfather had a Rambler station wagon with the push button shifter.
When I was a kid dad had a Savoy (63 I think). It had that as well.
Wasn’t to bad.
Was there not many cars show up?
Yea only a few local cars the ones from out of state were not there. Just cold. Lol my knee started hurting. I see up north got hit hard with cold.
