Dooligah! - GIANT ABC - 👹

Very interesting, I did come across sterile females in the PTB also.

I’m currently looking through some Jellybreath Dooligah F2 hybrids, early days but they are growing like standard plants but with the abc leaf.

A buddy sent me this picture of a full large leaf phenotype in his backyard. It’s a Pine Tar Dooligah. Growing just like the dad

Amazing that full large leaf plants can be found in the F1.

A rare possibly broken linked trait that once found breeds dominant.

It’s very frustrating for me. I had four females last summer and I tried to make plenty of seeds and hardly got any. I tried again this summer, again with four females, and again, barely got any seeds.
I suppose the positive side is the sterile females are guaranteed to produce sinsemilla.

I am amazed by that as well. I thought it would take a couple of generations to fix the large leaf trait. I am continually being surprised by the way cannabis leaf genetics works. It doesn’t necessarily follow simple punnet square algorithm.

Super interesting right!! A rare structured plant that once found breeds dominant. Makes it easier. Imo the larger leaf makes abc much easier to grow.

My JellybreathBX1 X Dooligah F2s are growing as fast as my non mutants so far

Can you perhaps spare some of the large ABC sheet, I would like to make a Auto out of it?

Feel free to send me a dm, could work something out. Cheers.

Well, one is definitely auto. The smallest flowering ABC that I’ve encountered.

@Teide - Looks like a nice little male you have there! Did a similar female show up? If not I would collect pollen and hunt for a female with the same habits as that little guy. If you have a female but she’s not auto, you could induce flowering possibly and the resulting seeds should be 50% auto and 50% normal with 100% of them being ABC type. All in theory remember  if you did find an auto female the F3s should be 100% and 100% respectively.

Hope this helps!

Hi Everyone. So I have been pretty absent on here for a awhile. I had a pretty shitty experience with a member and it really soured the site for me so I needed a break and i wasn’t sure i was ever going to come back. That said. I saw this on Instagram and got some seeds. I have to @lilmanbigplan is 100% right these are special!. easy x2 the leaf size in veg on the f1 PTD. pretty good vigor past idk the the 2 or 3 week mark. super exited to give updates once they get bigger. I have also talked to lilmanbig plan about making my own f2 to help search through. once they are selected hopefully i can start isolating the leaf trait. lilmanbigplan is the owner here and i don’t plan to sell but since he is planning to move forward in fems I will be preserving m/f seeds just for genetic preservation of the trait because it seem to have at least some effect in f1. who knows down the line what will need a boost in leaf size and a vigorous line that doubles leaf vigor might be the key down the road. As for my own. I am doing a repro run of ROC’s auto abc line right now and seeds are forming. Once i trade back to lilmanBP I am going to start working on a Dooligah leaf auto version. I had to take a huge break from smoking. I landed the best job of my life but they are federally funded and it just not worth the risk smoking. But working rough lines for things like mutant or leaf vigor and having stoner friends confirm potency for me is 100% i can do sober and we all know a heavy stoner will tell you if your meds are lacking lol. Much love to everyone. Sorry for my absence but @djsf passing ( we were plant buds around a certain ssdd cut) and then hate mail over being queer really just threw me for a combo. Im back (not every day ) if anyone wants to catch up.

I’m very glad that you are finding better growing ABC hybrids in these seeds. Can’t wait to see you select and take them into further generations!

I have no issues with people breeding with these seeds and sharing them. It’s actually really great to see! I think that’s how ABC will improve over time, with more people breeding and growing it. That Dooligah male was a good find for sure, I’m pretty confident it’ll create some good abc lines!

Just read through this dreaming of auto regs  so happy to see I’m not alone  if you need any backup when you get to that project @PetalPowerseed , I’d be delighted to help.
Also, I mostly just ignore the pronouns, in part because it lets me avoid a lot of unpleasant interactions, but you’re right it can leave girls feeling more rare than perhaps we are.

So for solidarity I’ll share that I’m a fellow lady grower, and that I happily date people I like of any gender.

Several lady growers on here, but most you can’t tell by their username, so I’ve made the mistake of referring by the wrong genre. @Bobgrows gets it all the time with the “Bob” part, but Bobbi is a great sport about it. Anyway, hope you both are enjoying the best grow forum there is.

Hey @PetalPowerseed ! Nice to see you back!
Yup, lady grower as well.
I hope the person giving you a hard time has either left or found half a brain to realize they are the problem.

Forget that last post. I think I was having a brain cramp. lol. What I wanted to ask is - which hybrid has the biggest flowers with the abc leaf shape ? Sorry about that last post. I must be getting old.

The Pine Tar Dooligah is a winner for sure. And Jellybreath3BX1 X Dooligah F2 seems to look very promising so far.
