Thanks JP! Trichomes havenāt shown any amber yet the hairs are brown? the sample was fantastic tasted like the bud it came from and a great stone. Obviously needs a cure ā¦not bad though. Comming from dispensary bag seed
From some kick ass SBR all I found was 2 seeds that gave us two kickass plants and they wanted was to give us store credit lol.

A Question for all you long-time growersā¦
About Trichomesā¦
We have always started checking trichomes about a week ahead of schedule just in case, but we wait for about 20% amber for the pain relief and help with insomnia.
These arenāt doing itā¦10 days ālateā and besides being PACKED on, the trichs are doing weird shit weāve not seen before.
Almost all are a pearly opaque whiteā¦ but, some appear to have heads that are bursting open and growing another trichome out of itā¦and some trichs are turning purple or even have a translucent black head on a clear stem!?
Those are fewā¦ but never seen it before in the 20+ Years and literally 100+ strains that weāve grown.
This IS a dark purple strain, but is this normal ?
Has ANYONE seen this, or have input!?
Weāre thinking of going ahead and harvestingā¦but donāt want to ājump the gunā since we arenāt absolutely certain with this particular strainā¦since it is from seeds in dispensary buds!
Draig is concerned that this is starting to degradeā¦but there is no amber?

What strain? I had the trichs turning purple on the Red pheno of Cherry Festival. I never saw much amber. I would like to hear from others that grew it to hear if it did it for them.

None of the trich stalks are purpleā¦but getting burst and black tops on some with clear stalksā¦ the black ones tend to burst and grow another trich out of them!?

Iāve seen purple trikes that form like the one circled below the first circle, but Iām also seeing what appears to be dark purple heads that never had any purple in the stalks first. And at this point their is less than a few amber. The trichomes are weird on this one.

@G-paS Thatās beautiful I can see why itās called Cherry Festival that Red pheno has amazing color and quite frosty!! 
Sorry, I was a little out of it last nightā¦ the above is the Black Sugar Rose pheno 1. That appears to have trichomes growing out of and or leaning on each other. As for the purple in the trichomes weāve been checking daily since day 45 of flower.
To the best of my knowledge, the purple starts at the base and slowly moves up to the head, not after already being cloudy. Please correct me if Iām wrong!
Anyway she is listed as a 50 - 55 days strain, as of today she is around 65 days, which is fineā¦ we never use breeder disciptions as definitive times to harvest. My brain say to wait for some amberā¦ but in the latest micro shots Iām seeing some that now look totally dark purple/ black, completely opaque from stalk to bulb. Seemingly overnight.
So anyway I circled some of the odd trikes not sure exactly what Iām seeingā¦ let us know what you think.

Sample of Black Sugar Rose pheno 1 at 55 days I believe.

Both phenos neither showing amber, smelled strong and similar taste of pungent rose/floral, sweet skunk and yet rich toasted scent/flavor.
Pheno 2 has buds that are more dense but appears less deep purple/black.
Same under different lighting. No Photoshoping ever lol
Turkish from Kwik Seeds/The Real Seed Companyā¦@Lady.Zandra63 werenāt aware that these were semi-autoflowering like Lebanese and other Middle Eastern cultivars So.she switch to back to 18/6ā¦ Surprise! Wasnāt long before she was in full bloom lolā¦ We are just letting both of them continue to flower there not too far from description anyway
This one is 3-1/2 weeks in flower and is only 2 -1/2 ft.
Been another long day. Iām just giving everyone a heads up Iām gladly hanging it up on this thread and handing it over to the grower lol
It was a good exercise in communication but, the relay was challenging. I also have my own 2x4 tent, lights and everything needed to grow, right here in our room Thanks to my Lady! Thanks beautiful!

Wish I could help. I have never grown those out or have used magnification devices maybe I need to get with the times. So I would just resort to the old method of is it greasy, sticky, or dry. And pay attention to the smells. Sometimes the nose knows. Killer looking plants by the way.

Thanks @Kavmanā¦ Iāve tried the samples and the smell is there, the high on both were impressive for what I assumed was a little early. One is more pungent than the other who seems quite sweet and almost fruity, both have sweet floral undertones.
It smokes euphoric at the beginning and talkative then becomes relaxing and sleepy-stoned at the end.
Since the BSR were 2 dispensary bud seeds we found and is a strain we have never worked with we are guessing at its needs and timing. Never worked with a strain that took so long to show any amber once the trichs were cloudy. Pretty sure sheās ready.

Ya never know what you get with bag seeds. Seems like you enjoyed them so thatās what matters. Some of the most infamous strains came from bag seed. Boy I sure need to get me a scope. I love seeing all the pictures in detail. Maybe for Christmas.
Howās that stuff you got from @JohnnyPotseed ? I think I got some of the same ones. I Havenāt grown out any yet.

Hey there-- yeahā¦I kinda went overboard popping seeds, cloning etcā¦and ran out of roomā¦so I had to let all the newest seedlings goā¦ I will be starting them again, but had to use the space for all my clonesā¦ including Johnnyās Frankenstein!

Well-- hereās a long overdue updateā¦
Getting ready to harvest the Black Sugar Rose #1-- possibly her sister as well, even though sheās a week behind- but looks readyā¦
The Lebanese looks āWonkyā due to how I had to tie her up to the ceilingā¦ she has a few weeks to goā¦
The Cannatonic is looking at being harvested this coming week, and the Bubbagum (never shown before- was supposed to be a cull that I kept and she really turned around ) will be ready in about 10-14 daysā¦
We have 2 Landrace Turkish-- I had them in 18/6 not realizing they are a semi-autoā¦so are now in week 2 of 12/12- but further in bud than thatā¦
Everything else at this point is re-vegging clones, or vegging teens waiting for me to feel better and re-pot and trim them out.
This has been a very unexpected roller-coaster ride of a growā¦
We lost our entire crop and moms during Draigs stroke & recoveryā¦ everything now is strains we have never worked with, and we had all kinds of issues at the start (fucked-up meters, bad soil, timer issues etcā¦)
It been an experience to say the leastā¦ nothing like our old grows where we tended to them a few times a week and they thrived!!
But those were familiar strains and a well-balanced grow roomā¦ weāre getting back there!

Wowā¦ what a joy to be following again, the couple that helped me get my start years ago on PSā¦ you 2 took me under you wing and even though my first grow I wound up with 9 males and 1 female, I cloned the heck out of herā¦ lol.
