Dry ice method for kief and pressing

Eh. They’re both physical extractions. The only difference is initial cleanliness. So really they are the same. I’ve made dry ice hash that dabs better than bubble I’ve purchased  but I’ve also made shit.

The larger screen I use to sift and what I was sifting.

Here’s some more showing the pellets and whatnot.

A step by step I use…

For every pound or so of trim or larf I go with 5lbs dry ice. You can get by with less by my place sells 5lb/$5 so it’s what I do.

For trim or larf I remove any fans or anything that looks like it doesn’t have trichomes.

For nugs I just pull them off branches and whatnot. I’d break up bigger ones a bit but it doesn’t matter all that much.

I use a 160u bubble bag to do it in.

Put a light layer of dry ice down. Just enough to cover the bottom, nothing crazy.

Put the bud in.

Toss rest of dry ice in and let the whole thing sit for 30 seconds.

Then I close the bag up and pick it up and do a little rocking back and forth action for 10-20 seconds just to mix all the bud and dry ice a bit.

Shake up and down as straight as possible for 90-120 seconds on a flat surface with parchment down.

Repeat 90-120 second shake.

If it still seems light I go for another 90 second shake. 3, 90-120 second shakes is usually good

Sometimes I’ll scrape the first shake to the side and do the second then scrape that up and do a third, but it doesn’t make that big of a difference. As soon as you start to see a green tint, I stop and collect all the good hash

And a press at 178f :metal:t2: have fun man
