So this batch is finishing in different stages so I need to create a drying room out of my office.
I have an extra window AC that I can use, but I’m worried about smell leaking out. Another option would be to use a portable AC and run the ducting into the attic? Not ideal cause I have to cut a hole into the ceiling. Another option would be to keep the window AC but keep negative pressure on the room by using a carbon filter and dumping the other xhaust into the attic.
I have a couple more weeks to think this over but I’m stumped.
Trying to get my drying better. Before I’d just stick them in that room with a dehumidifier or humidifier and just let them hang for a bit. But the room gets up to 80F this time of the year so I’d like to add an AC but worry about smell.
Would just scrubbing the air work out? This would eliminate cutting holes in the ceiling. Just not sure if any smell would leak out the AC.
I think the simplest option would be a fan and filter scrubbing the air. The attic thing would also work but like you said you’d have to cut a hole that’s a PITA so I’d just scrub it so you’ve got something seeping the smell away but still moving air.
Does carbon fly out when you are scrubbing? I’ve always directed the other end outside where it wouldn’t really matter. Last thing I want is carbon dusted buds.
Uhhh there probably is extremely minuscule amounts that escape but I have never seen anything come out of my filter not noticed a weird taste to my buds from a filter.
For smell, you can look on Amazon for a product called Ona. It’s just a jar that is a very powerful smell killer. 1 or 2 jars is all you need depending on how much herb, and size of room. A jar is less than $20 and really does work.
