You can go to chemist and buy 4 for 25 quid now. The chemist just needs to check blood pressure before they sell you them

I feel the same way about the UK, more specifically Ashton-under-Lyne, as it is where my paternal side of family originates from. Would like to have a glance at genealogical records there some dayā€¦

Haha. Yeah we donā€™t get together that often now because of my work commitments where at one point it was a regular Saturday thing. Iā€™m getting to old now to be able to handle the 3 day hangovers that come with @Ghandisflipflop company

I was doing industrial roofing here in Canada, until I damaged my neck.

Loose polystyrene insulation, rubber and gravel. Or screwed down fiberglass backed high density foam, epoxy spray, fleece backed rubber on top.

Yeah we do a lot of EPDM roofing @Shadey. We recommend it over hot bitumen. It lasts a lot longer than felt and its a lot safer, easier and cleaner to apply. The life expectancy is around double also but people tend to want the mineral even though all the numbers lean towards the rubber being more cost effective in the long run. :+1:

So does rubber last longer than the fibre glass strand matting shit I canā€™t remember the abbreviation for it CSM summat like that. I only lately found out about rubber sheeting being an option when I was learning about SIP panelling.

An yeh respect to roofers bro me dads a roofer heā€™s come off couple times. Never a soft landing is it

No itā€™s not, even tripping over like I did, fucked me up. Nearly been over the edge a couple of times, standing on my harness rope getting up, next to the edge, and rescuing a Newby who nearly went over, hanging on to a big motorised wheel barrow, he didnā€™t have the strength to turn away from the safety barrier, I just managed to grab his tool belt, as he went through the barrier, nearly took me with him, lucky there was a 12 inch parapit wall, to push my feet against.

The ground crew who had just finished a concrete pathway, were not impressed with half a cubic yard of gravel, and a motorised wheel barrow, in the middle of it lol.

Hardly any one uses bitumen here unless itā€™s repairing an old previous job, that was done with it. So much faster using rubber. We could cover 10,000 sq ft a day.
