Exhausting extra co2

How’s it going OG. I just purchased my co2 set up for my room. 20lb tank regulator and sensor. All hooked up to my hydrox from trolmaster. I noticed during lights out my co2 levels can get very high 2300ppm+ do I have to worry about this extra co2? I have not released any co2. wondering if I will have to exhaust with the levels shown over night. Will my plants eat it up when lights come on? Any help is appreciated.

I could be wrong here but i dont think you need to be pumping c02 in the room at all when lights are off.

Good info here for any grower. They discuss lights out…venting why pros cons etc.

I do some venting after lights out. But it’s optional as you will read.

Are you in soil?
(I think soil produces more Co2 at night than coco or hydro.)

I just got my set up haven’t even released any co2

By chance, are you releasing CO2 while the lights are off? You most certainly don’t need elevated CO2 with the lights off, and the levels you’re seeing are far too high, even with the lights on.

If you’re environment is producing CO2 levels as high as you’re seeing with the lights off, you may want to see what happens if you shut off the valve on the tank while the lights are on.

Day time = Plants suck up CO2
Night Time = Plants PUKE CO2.

Save yer money and turn it off at night

Oh, I see. Hmm…well, not all sensors are created equal. It would be great if you could get another one to verify.

that explains why my sealed room is sitting right around 2100 w no ventilation. size of a small bedroom. cool graph

that would assume someone being in the bedroom to raise the levels though right? Have you been in the sealed room alot while its sealed

Plants are raising levels tho right?

The controller manual might have calibration info.
Test outdoor ppm level.

Sensor is accurate lights are on staying steady at 1400

maybe I will have to exhaust during lights off… not sure

Probably a stupid question I’m about to ask, but are constant high co2 levels a problem? I got a meter and checked mine when I was considering a sealed room, but my ambient levels are between 1000-1500 so obviously I decided against it. Is there any reason I’d need to vent it out of the house during lights off or is just worrying about it the best bet? Plants don’t seem to mind but if I can make them do even better than they are I’m all for it(within reason lol).
