Explaining user trust levels and permissions

I dont understand any of this “social media” stuff. I have only been a member for about 3 months. 2 days after I joined people began writing to me and sending me seeds. Crazy right! I think when you have smoked pot for a while you get the sense of who is cool and who isnt. I agree dots mean nothing. Just make friends. :rainbow:

I just assumed they read the first post in this thread, lol.

I did I promise I’m not dumb lol I just didn’t see anything about the pips (I now know they’re useless) and I misunderstood the prerequisites to advance to the next trust level

All good man, I figured you had read it. That’s why I thought you were just asking about pips. Feel free to ask anything you want bud, we all in this together. :v:

not really. there are usually about 10-20 posts each day. some days get 30 or just a tad over. you can check this by opening up og at the end of the day and see how many new posts are listed. you only have to read a quarter of them, and you don’t really need to go all the way to the end. click on the ones that you think are interesting, and if not close it and go to the next one. you do need to interact with them, liking them or replying to some, but that interaction is where the trust level comes from. i got to trusted in 3 months by devouring all the old info that i had missed since i left og 1.0 in 2004. i wasn’t even trying, just reading because i love to read.

edit: and i have 9 pips after a year and a half. i didn’t even know how many i had 'til i posted this.

Hello! I am from AZ as well. Rural southern border.

Glad I stumbled upon this thread. I was wondering about the way to gain rank. I have limited access to the internet let alone a phone but I will hopefully fix a laptop screen or buy a cheap phone and work towards getting phone service. I get by by borrowing a wifi-only phone and going/walking to the library a mile away or borrowing hotspot. I will be on more this week since I am trying to research the best but cheap + reliable cloning system for my future pheno hunts…

Also a new user. You should advertise or at least mention this platform on some of the other groups’ platforms. Because it is unique and serves a niche, I do not believe anyone will be offended.

to some, that might be offensive!

don’t hurry, become a part of the community. there’s no need to rush anyway. trust levels don’t mean shit, the way you interact does. just reading threads will level you up from basic pretty quick. there is so much information to soak up it takes a while. i remember when i got regular it surprised the hell out of me since i just came back after finding it opened up again and had a lot of catching up to do. i was just reading all the new threads that come up and replying to the comments that interested me. you know, acting like a member of the community and next thing you know i was.

Why? What is the goal?

Excuse me? Or was that intended as funny.

Being Member of the Month? ejem|nullxnull Just kidding, I think the goal while promoting is feeling more part of the community so the rest don’t see you as a “just passing by” and that demonstrates you’re an active and contributing member, there’s nothing wrong about that … beer3|nullxnull

Nope, nothing wrong with it at all. Was just curious about their reasoning. In the end, interacting makes you part of the community more than anything. I too was anxious to move up my trust levels when I joined.
