Well this just happened!

It popped up on Kijiji at a fair price and the pickup location was… 400 meters from my home!!

 :exploding_head:

Yep; turns out I bought a 6 Ton Dabpress from a neighbour getting out of it!

 :+1:

you are so going to enjoy the dab press. just got done pressing your " poison daddy " on my dab press after a proper cure. takes a few uses to get the pressing effect down. pretty easy though you will have it figured out in no time.

you did the job well done! the poison daddy smoke is the amazingsauce. what a special wonderful cultivar. checks all the boxes for me. so easy and smooth to smoke. head body and spirit are being happy all together. poison daddy moved right onto the grow this now list. everyone that i have let try this strain loves it and says this one is special… thank you for your work and generosity sharing the poison daddy.

respectfully mainerJ…

I’m glad another person @mainerJ grew out my Poison Daddy strain, looks like you did a great job ,)

Parents of poison Daddy are: Kosher Daddy (Jew gold 1974 X Granddaddy Purple - by Cadman) crossed with Durban Poison by - my friend Emmie. Then @Pigeonman did a seed run for us all to enjoy and did it very successfully!

This was the 2nd strain I had made available for the public ,) I also Didn’t make a collection card for this, but I should have.

Thank you @Pigeonman for ensuring people are getting hands of awesome strains. Because of this all the credit goes to @Pigeonman since he devoted his time & energy into doing a seed run of Posion Daddy for all OG’ERs to enjoy  Thank you brother :kissing_heart:

@JoeCrowe , @Barefrog , @alwaysnoob , @mainerJ , @CADMAN check this out my first pressing of a single nug of @ShitSeeds Buddhas Cane S1 grown outdoors so it’s been curing for a while in a Grovebag.

Pressed at 200f/208f, then parchment in the freezer for an hour and then “scraped” together on an aluminum plate that was also in the freezer for the hour.

There was still hash dust in the rosin puck so I rolled it around to coat this little ball of sticky wowzers!

woo-hoo! first home made concentrate / dab. since i started enjoying the vaping of the pressed bud concentrates i have not gone back to smoking it. i always had that smokers hack / cough. not bad but noticeable from smoking. now when i smoke a joint it feels like i just stuck my head in the campfire smoke and inhaled hard. i never realized how much smoke inhalation i was getting from the burning plant matter/ weed.

since i have been pressing the smokers hack has disappeared. been gone for two years now. i still hit a joint or bong now and then with friends, but it is so weird to me feels like i just got a big ole hit of grass fire lol. cotton mouth dry throat to the max. to me dabs are so much smoother / enjoyable to me. dont get me wrong a big ole blast of concentrates will make you cough also, just cleaner to me without all the burnt plant stuff. thats why i said i think you will enjoy that dab press. any questions ask away. just fyi i press cured bud in 90 micron bags, helps to keep the left over residue to a minimum.

Well you may have no choice…

2x4 pre-press. I tossed in 7g worth of Buddhas Cane S1 nugs from @ShitSeeds I grew outdoors this past summer.

Held it in the vise for 1hr to make sure it’s all nice and fucked up.

The setup all ready and plates clean and warmed up.

Pre-pressed flower kept unstuck with parchment paper inserts.

I squishy you even more soon!

Parchment in place, the squishy gets to warm up for 45sec with just enough pressure to hold it in place.

And then the big press. I go by feel and tbh have my eyes closed in the latter bit so i can feel the lever and motion like JCVD driving a car blindfolded.

And the joy oozes out from the waxy slit.

Here’s the results of the first pressing.

The squishy now being uber squished gets folded in half on itself and then back into the press for a warm-up and the extra squish!

It’s worth doing. Especially when I seem to buy decent parchment paper for so cheap

I did a bunch of tests and so far the Buddhas Cane is the winner-winner :chicken: dinner for pressing results. I’m going to check the RH% of the other outdoor i tried which didn’t yield anywhere close to the BC.

For now they sit in the freezer on top of the aluminum plate i use for defrosting that I now also use to gather the shatter!

And in case anyone is wondering the Butter Chicken is for when the Mrs. taste buds kick back in.

Have a great night folks!!

:v:

@Pigeonman squish some Jew Gold 1974 & see if ya can get a nice golden ish color with low -med temps… ,) I’ve heard that low temp press squishes are super flavorful (I could be wrong tho)

I did… sadly not so much came from it :confounded:

I pressed fluffy buds so they weren’t the greatest example of the plant but I also don’t have a hygrometer in those jars so I need to check the RH%.

The Buddhas Cane is sitting at 63% RH, with rock-hard buds, and that oooozed. I’ll grab a hydration stone and try to lift the RH% of the drier material to 62% if they are below which is my suspicion.

Probably cause of the fluffy buds, gives less “juice” but I’d definitely try drying it more as you described or try another harder chunk.

Some strains also just don’t give anything worthwhile for making oozing eye candy.

I love seeing people squeeze cannabis, I live varcasously through you lol

This was what I am testing. I get a nug of a strain, do the press, check the yield.

So far the only cultivar I have in my cupboard that’s shining on the press is the Buddhas Cane. I do think the larfy JG1974 would make amazing bubble!

I’ve looked into the best pressing strains and present me thanks past me for F2ing the shit outa Tony Green’s GG#4 R.I.L… 6x seeds of which are now soaking.

:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Also looking out for GMO, I have a few cuts in the mail on their way as a “can cuts make it through letter-mail from the states into canada alive?” test. 2 weeks so far and it’s fuck cold so odds are against my favour but :crossed_fingers: non the less.

I’m sure your cuts will arrive safe and in mint condition my friend. Looking forward to seeing more squishes .
