I like the bend. If it’s not so long I’ll just secure the break with duct tape. If it’s heavy I’ll brace it the way you have done.
All the best.

Can I ask about your heat mats on the tent floors? Are they needed to keep a constant temps between night and day?
I like how your tents always look so tidy/squared away.
Of course any questions are always welcome @TricycleOfDoom !
Living in Canada and having an electrically heated home my climate control is… complicated. So much so I’ve been tweaking every year and it’s always better for it.
The heat mats were a game changer as I was able to get higher air temps at the cost of drying out the plants but no matter what the root mass was always “meh” so the growth could be better.
I then lined the bottom of the tent with 5mm thick foam mats; in my case working station foot resting mats from the dollar store. But you could use anything like workout mats, insulation board, etc.
Over this i put the reflective “drip tray” that comes with the tent with the heat mats on-top of this tray. They are all waterproof and i’m not watering the floor so I just keep a tea towel around to spot clean after watering.
All this fucking around resulted in steady warmth for the root mass which meant I my ambient air temps could be dropped as it wasn’t needed to compensate for the cold floor “sink” saping away the heat from the root mass.
I’ve learned the hard way that a messy grow environment is just a step away from a big problem. Insects, missing something you can miss, etc…
I hope the above helps! The 40inch mats can be bought as a combo on amazon which gets you the best bang for your buck if you need them.
No kidding aBout Lifting that LITE lol @Pigeonman. They have taken-off
I also missed a detail… did not notice fully that these ambitious Watermelon Hash Plants, were in Solo’s… lol
Nice one Bro!
I started to wonder about this last winter. Growing in my winterpeg basement, my leafs were often dry, almost like paper. This year I have some AC Infinity gear and a controller. With the gear and controller, it’s not perfect yet but still I think the climate has improved. Plants leafs are looking much better.
I never considered root development. And I happen to have some pink foam board sitting in my garage. I’ll measure the drip tray temps before and after the pink foam. Then get the heating mats if needed…probably.
Thanks @Pigeonman
