👨🏽‍🌾 Farmer Pigeonman (OR): How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Indoor Growing

Every time you type “Manitoba Poison” I see “Manitoba Poisson” which as we all know is a central Canadian aquatic fish delicacy. Available in all finer restaurants.

Looks good and woo spring!

Well, here’s my 1st attempt at a “Cannagar”:

I made the wood filter from the same doweling I used to make packing tool and I bought natural hemp-wraps instead of a leaf wrap because I don’t have any plants I’m willing to pull fan leaves from to wrap it. Those leaves are currently feeding the plants so no-dice on clipping.

I need to both figure that part out next but I can confirm the mold system works! :+1:

No images right now but turns out that doing 3+ auto flower runs over the winter has gotten my game STRONG for working with these!

8 seeds started = 8 plants are GROWING
4 are upright already
2 are upright with leaflets
2 are lifting up and out as we speak

Plant math is as follows:

  1. All seeds were scuffed.
  2. Soaked in distilled water for 24hours in total darkness at 24-25c.
  3. Tap root or not, all seeds got placed in a 2 cup layer of pre-moistened worm castings above a 5L layer of pure ProMix BX; and below this is a blended mix of 10L Sheep Manure, 5L BX, and 2.7L Perlite.
  4. Surface area is misted with filtered water and then a 4" square plant pot was placed over-top each seed site to create a micro-climate.
  5. Light = SF2000, dimmed to 50%, hung at 30 inches above pots and light schedule is 24/0.
  6. Temperature is maintained at 23-24c with forced heated air, and humidity piped in with a humidifier. At soil surface with all the airflow and heat the RH is around 60% and mid way up near the sensor is about 50%.
  7. EVERY 12 HOURS I mist around the pots to saturate the surface to keep it from totally drying out below 1cm; after I then lift the pot and spray AROUND the seed site, then a few more times directly on it but at a distance. On average i’m misting about 1L of water per-day in 2x applications to maintain the environment at the soil surface level while everything else is on auto-pilot :+1:

This morning I HAD to remove 6 of the 8 pots as their plants had already started to try to get out the holes at the bottom  The last 2 are catching up and I expect the same removal needed either tonight or tomorrow AM.
