It’ll prob be a tradition of “Here’s 3x _____ or ____ pollen” + skill testing question + 1st 3 correct posts get em.
I have seeds I want to share but with finances tighter than usual I needed to game plant costs and while I have the seeds made to share already it’s the shipping costs that can easily add-up fast. Doing quick maths I can pull off 3x a week during my “MEGA UPDATES” without getting stressed about it… and if I DO get stressed well then it’s just 1x giveaway every 2x weeks instead lol.
To quote Christian Slater as Robert Boyd from “Very Bad Things”…
THERE ARE ALWAYS OPTIONS!"
LOL.
BAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
The plug was me just being me. Bob reached out after to let me know that the application method has changed from the instructions I got so he’s sending me the full info. Otherwise my enthusiasm is due to seeing JohnnyPotseed’s plants and the generosity of it being a gift.
I’m going for the Guinness world record for hair ball. Remember though if it’s coated in any type of bodily fluid though then that’s @Foreigner 's area of interest.
It’s all automated and will lift the waterbath’s temp up to a set 165F And then hold it there for 2hr30min (my setting). At the end of the countdown it turns itself off and i can show up when it’s all cooled down.
And to make it more efficient a “lid” of alumanim foil because it’s impossible to top of the water bath from the tap with out dramatic temperature fluxuations .
I’ll boil the kettle then pour out the hot into a large pyrex decanter, add my thermometer and pour cold water little by little until it reaches 165f and then top off!
It’s going into the fridge tonight and i’ll test it tomorrow
I gave the babies a light dose of Hydrotech Hydroponic’s 50/50, which is a kelp/worm castings extract. Full dosage is 4ml/L, these small wonders got 1ml/L and even then only a few turkey baster volume worth around the perimeter of the root mass.
The BOG Sour BluTooth F2 has been progressively defoliated as the larger fan leaves start to become sinkers. With all my testing of defoliation, tucking and my upgraded education by way of the Master’s class i’m taking I’m sticking to removing leaves ONLY when they are 50% dead or more.
Here from the side you can REALLY see the colas revealed from the fan leaves removal.
From what i’m seeing under the scope, the top of the plant is coming down this weekend followed by the top grid being removed and the light dropped to aid the filling out of the bottom half’s colas.
The Earth Lover is a day from chop so I pulled it out of the 2x2 to make space for the Black Snow that needed LST very badly. The HLG 100 V2 4000K tosses A LOT of photons… so much that the Par value is stupid high for vegging anything 1/2 way up the tent.
While this isn’t a horrible problem to have, (it sucks much more when you NEED more light than the fixture throws…), this fixture does not dim so the LST is also to get the plant out of the hot spot until I can find my 2x2 scrog net and then add some shade cloth to cut the intensity down and add softness.
At the top 2 large water leaves the PAR comes in around 750… which is great for flowering but rather hot for the veg period I want to have this partake before flowering.
Yes. Exactly this. Next batch I’m going to run at 185f for 2.5 hours as the comparison. This batch is honey gold colour with such a pleasant scent. NOT ONE BIT OF SCORCH SMELL!
It’s finger tight. Everything started up at room temp so there was a “PING!” as the jar thermally shifted but there was no issue. I’ve had thermal shock explosions in the past being stupid as a teen when learning to can so I respect my ancestors ways and go slow and steady.
Also from all my research the best infusions take time, low heat and linear curves when bringing up to and down-from the infusion temperatures.
I’m using this chart for my oils BUT it the accompanying documentation recommends an oven decarb of 240F for longer than I’ve ever done prior to the infusion, but the infusion times and temps are gold.
The sous vide reaches 195F MAX so my intent is finding the sweet spot where the Time+Temperature = Decarb & Infusion.
It’ll mean when all is said and done I can run 3x jars in this rig with the only mess being the straining through cheese-cloth process. Additionally, I can vary the strength of each batch by pulling the jars early from the sous-vide bath and place it in a separate pot which I can prep with water at the matching temp, so the linear curve cool down can occur
