The female lead in that flick did an amazing job! She kept calling him “Roy”, if I’m recalling right.
Will there be a mate for Quigley eventually?
Cicada’s, YES! What weird and wonderful noise!

No he’s gonna be a spoiled bachelor.
you’re 100% correct! The woman’s backstory was that she lost her mind after accidentally smothering her son hushing him to stop crying when in a bad situation. When she runs into Quigley, she latches onto him and calls him “Roy”, which is the name of her husband that left her and blamed her for the child’s death. By the end of it, they’re a couple and she’s battles her demons and wins helping her cope and finally call him Quigley…
Which is what he told her she HAD to call him if she wanted sex…
Also, ALAN RICKMAN AS A BADDIE IS ALWAYS GREAT!
“I’m gonna cut your heart out With a spoon…because it’ll hurt more…”
Best line of his ever!!! IMO
He did play a great bad guy and was prolly a softy in real life…I’d like to think so anyways.
Ugh… first I lost the interwebs for 3 days so I couldn’t post my updates and then OG went down.
So here are some “old” photos taken earlier in the week (Aug 8th)!
Poison Daddy F1 - Trve Femme’s
Poison Daddy F1 - Hermie Male
… yes you read that correctly: HERMIE. After the temps outside hit critical with the humidity the AC did it’s best but the male-jail stayed at 28c for a few days stressing the FUCK out of the plant so then all the 's started growing hairs…
I’ve resolved to continue with the F2 run but now it’s just 1x Femme being fully open-pollinated versus all 4 getting selected branches being pollenated.
I chose Femme #2 as it’s the branchiest example of the 4; with 2 others being nearly identical and 1 being leggier. If i’m going to have to do the extra work to sleuth out hermie traits later I might as well pick the best plant I have here to work with.
@CADMAN , this is gonna be more work now BUT we’re still on track!
Photos please of this adventure @Heliosphear !!!
Good photos & shitty about the stressed Hermies ;( so your gonna just proceed with the non Hermies yes?
@CADMAN the plan is to bring the three females through full lifestages for primo flower. Thebest female was placed in with the only male plant (aka: stressed hermie) which is currently producing pollen.
Every day for 5-6 days i turn off all fans, open the tent just enough to water them, and then close it up enough to get my man-shaker stick in there to rough shit up and make it cloud up with gold. I trun on the active intake fan right after but wait n hour until i turn the exhaust fan.
This has been my best seed run success rate when going all in.
In 5 days i’ll ho
AND OH BOY IS SHE PREGGO!
Male-jail got tight but all in all the stressed hermie male is still a nice looking plant. @cadman I didn’t grab any pollen for you due to the stress herm. If you want any let me know asap as I’m gonna cull the plant tomorrow night.
In the tub went the preggo-female after the 2x2 got sprayed down to even consider moving anything
Completely NOT pregnant at all, the 3 females are stacking up their colas
And up close.
Now to go make food and then smoke bong
Thanks for stopping on by for this F2 adventure!!! More indoors to come when the occurs; as this is when the JALISCO LANDRACE adventure begins!!!
Omfg I’m so stoked on the Jalisco journey!
As always, looking stellar bro…
Looking great… it’s all good bro, I don’t wanna mess with Hermie, I do my best to cull them as well.
Me too!
They’ve been in the fridge long enough to consider it a stratification period!
I’m gonna email TLT with updated images as a buffer incase of bad germination rates. I figure best to assume it’ll happen so if I get 10/10 tails it’ll be a nice surprise!
Perfect world: 2-3 males, 5-7 females
Good to cover your bases.
Strap in, it’s a long ride
SLOW HEAVY METAL MUSIC PLAYING
Just the name “Mexican Death Sativa” invites memories of some good Mexican smoke I would get in the early 70’s in SoCal. Let it be a Female! I wanna see this.
Sadly it was a male and I kept it around as a house plant for MONTHS but didn’t end up using it for pollen as I had to many other projects on the go and only have 1x male jail.
Perfect visual! I can see it now!
I really hope this round works out as I’ve tried 2x to clone the UK Cheese this year and now here I am with cuts in flower trying for round three.
I’ve placed the reservoir into another container of the same size with aluminum foil in-between to stop the light and also covered the lid in metal-tape in order to block the surface light. There is a bubble wand inside here making for some aggressive agitation and I’m gonna top it off every day no matter what cause this is my last chance at this; if I don’t get even ONE out of these cuts the UK Cheese will be lost to me unless gifted from another.
No dip or hormone, just filtered tap water adjusted to 6.0 ph.
Oh am I getting ramped up for next Friday when the hits. I’ve already cleared up the speedcups for the veg-phase of the Jalisco Landrace run in the “recently upgraded” propagation tent.
The upgrade is a red-spectrum balanced grow led in there to add to the 4000 kelvin shop lights that do the job for the $. I’d never buy these at full price because it’s so much cheaper to build them yourself… BUT when your best friend of 31+ years wife who works at Home Depot calls you to ask if you want grow lights on clearance discount from $60 down to $5 a unit… you jump on that shit!!
She called me back and tells me that in the time it took to call and ask her colleagues grabbed most of them and could only grab me 6x.
Bless her she actually felt bad about “only” getting me six and I’m here sitting at $30 for $360 worth of flower-boosting LED’s and overwhelmed with the kindness.
Next to pick-up some more 29% H202 so I can mix up some food grade 3% to spray down the speedcups, mondi tray and dome, and to add to the distilled water that will soak the 10x “ beans” in hopes of the best chance of germination.
For the sprouting mix I plan on mixing up a 2/3 Promix BX with 1/3 earth worm castings and then a 1" layer of pure EWC for the seeds to be directly planted in. Two weeks later the 1 gallon nursery pots will have a similar 2/3 promix bx + 1/3 earth worm castings but with additional dolomitic lime dust, basalt rock dust, insect frass and a bonus dash of DynoMyco.
And for all of this time I get to have this little guy watch the action happen as he continues to get bigger each and every day.
