First grow and a bit of " home improvement" ( Tim the toolman taylor)

So here I stand. Well into my first grow, and I’m lucky my sweet girls are still alive.

Well maybe not, cuz I really love them, but I’ve newer been able to keep anything alive.
I think I’ve done a good job so far.
I have made a great mistake, to try and grow tre different strains, in the same growroom, and use the same light to all tree strains.

I now know that next time, I’ll have to be more aware of strains, and what they like.
The reason I choose these tre strains is due to my personel sickness, and I found that a combination of the strains is great to produce my oil.

If there is a kind soul out there that have a strain that you think is a better choise, then theese tree, pls let me know
The strains are: Northenlight, Medicalmass & Black domino.

It’s been a fun trip, and I’m very pleased

I’ve invested in a HPS setup for the next grow.
This have been made purely on a LED 600w from Mars Hydro.
I have been feeding them fresh air for 5 mins 16 hours a day.
They have been feedet with rainwater where I had to drop the PH value.
My medicalmass have turned “purple’ish” I think it’s due to to much nutritions, cuz I startet to flush it, and it came back to a niice green colour.

I’ll post a new photp in 9-14 days’ when the first (northenlight) is ready to harvest (the pic below is Northernlight)

looking good! don’t think that just because it is purple that you are over fertilizing it. sometimes is just a mutation in the genes, sometimes it’s just purple… but to me looks like your are doing pretty damn fine.

keep us updated !!

I have no idea what coco is :s

1/2 Soil from my “back yard” it’s a big green area 500x500 yards, and then 1/2 of a moist soil that comes from an “bio farm”
so horse shit in plain words, it’ just cultivated down layers of soil… And a German nutrition Terra it’s 2-5-5

And then a 200ci silent fan for intake (fresh cold air) through a bat of isolation materiel (so it is not freezing cold air) and a 160ci silent fan output, so there is pumped a bit more air in and the tent is like a baloon. keeps the oxygen lvl high, but only 5 min pr hours in the hours when I have the lamp turned on.
Yesterday night temperature dropped to -8 Celsius (17f) so I’m running them at night, and they get 6hours of rest during the day, when temperatures are higher…

lol right on bro.

I always had better luck growing shrooms in horse shit than plants lol.

I have to agree with everybody else. Awesome job on a first grow. Mine was a such a complete failure I didn’t try it again for ten years after reading Jorge’s Indoor book. Then it was still a roller coaster ride for a few years.

Keep it going, looking forward to seeing more.

Peace, UT

I know this is not the Q & A place, but I have a rather “urgent” question.
Is it possible to dry the vet-trimmed harvest in individual paperbags, and then pack those in a cardboard-box ?
My idea is to once a day take out the paperbags, empty them, and then dry the paperbags with a hair blower ?
and just repeat this untill it’s dried…
I know it’s not at all ideal, but I found out that my dryroom, at night hits 82% moist, so my initial plan would have made mold a massive issue…

Nice harvest! If you put them wet into paper bags, then into a box they will dry too slowly and you might have mould issues. Is there somewhere that’s lower humidity where you can put them?

If you can get them ‘almost dry’ you can then use the bags to finish them off slowly. What’s the humidity in your grow room? Maybe you could hang them in there for a few days

@beacher the humidity in my growroom is @62% My first idea wass to dry them there, but I still have two plants in there.
1 Black Domino that’s 'bout 4 days away from harvest, and a Medical mass that just got into bloom, and I’ve read here on OG that darkness is a must for the best result :frowning:

And the paperbag idea was just a thourght, as I’ve read somewhere that some uses paperbags next to a PC fan…
So my idea was to let the papers bags “suck” out the moist, and then just put it in a new paper bag each day ;o)

Yes next to a PC fan would be much better. If they’re closed in a box it would probably be not enough air flow.

I hang buds in my growroom sometimes up in the top corners when its too humid everywhere else. It can work well to get them ready for the bags or whatever. I don’t think the light is that big of a deal personally, but who knows

TY
I hung it in the top of the tent, and blackened the top 40cm of it, then they get 20degrees C airflow and as little light as possibel without “messing with” air flow

So this is next in line
With all the horror stories I’ve read and heard about growing, I’m still very pleased with this first grow.
I’m still trying to figure out what strain to have next time, I think I’ll go for just one plant, and then try that screen og green…
Maybe it’s to dificult as grow nr 2, but without failure, perfection cant be possible… ;o)

What to do if the humidity drops, and the weed dries to fast ?
A bowl of water in the tent  The small buds are all done I think, should I move them to a masonjar little by little ?
