The final piece of the puzzle has arrived! This is way more huger then I expected. Won’t be installing this until needed since this is on the outside in the elements. So under my bed and lovely flowery comforter it will stay for now. These things cut out ALL purple sticky punch odors? Even the stankiest, dankiest, skankiest buds???

Nice cab build, I kinda miss my repurposed wardrobe. Tent is cool and all, but there’s something about a properly built cab…

Just get a proper extraction fan and avoid all the headache about temps/humidity. It’s a bigger up front investment, but avoids a lot of trouble. Once carbon filters are in the equation, there’s no subsitution really (maybe a toroid box fan).

If your filter underperforms, there’s always the option of mounting 2, one on intake and other on exhaust. But with a quality filter, that shouldn’t be needed for a grow of your size. Emphasis on quality though, I tried a cheap carbon filter once and it did precisely nothing…

Love the cabinet! It inspires me to build one. Right now I’m currently using tents.

So you’re saying that I need to upgrade the fans I got? Will those little fans have a hard time pushing air through that filter? I’ll be adding an oscillating fan inside when the plants get into flowering stage for circulation. Those little fans push air pretty good, hopefully they do the trick

Thanks @MTL ! I enjoyed building it so much, I want to build a bigger one and use this one for veg or clones, but that’s down the road. You should build one dude! It’s super fun, my grow tent is in the attic and will probably stay there lol

I definitely plan on it. As soon as I get moved. Ultimately I would like 2 have a stealth grow in every room.:slightly_smiling_face::smiling_face_with_three_hearts: breeding projects, perpetual grows, the whole nine yards.

That sounds like a dream right there! Ah, imagine walking in every room of the house and having some beautiful babies to check in on…

It’s a very fulfilling project to build your own cabinets. Then watch what they do for ya. Built 3 so far, big Bertha, the original on which is my hydro box now, and a little germ/clone box, which is now going to be used as quarantine area.

Yeah, those are computer type fans and don’t do well pushing or pulling versus any kind of resistance. Carbon filter adds a sizeable amount, as do any bends in ducting. I would strongly advise you to get a proper exhaust fan, if you are in USA you have great options from AC Infinity which come with a controller. 4 inch should be sufficient for you if you go with LED. HPS/MH/CMH will need larger.

You’re right brother. It got warm today(82) and I ran the cab all day and I checked the temp in the late afternoon at hottest point of the day and it is 92 degrees in there! I need to find a better fan to push air out! Would an oscillating fan drop it any or will that not matter if the air isn’t getting pushed out fast enough? I might just be screwed having a cab in the shed during the summer time. I can’t throw an ac in the shed cuz the way the roof was built there’s a gap the size of the 2x4 truss all the way around so the cold air won’t maintain. I definitely have to figure something fast because my seeds have sprouted.
