First time autoflower grow (day16 from germ)

soil:Ocean Forest with nothing added
Transplanted June 19th to 5 gal pot.
Things I did different: Simply moved the light closer. I had the light literally at the top of the tent last time. I water every 3 days.

Tripped over another OGer (won’t mention the name), fell right at your door. I’m gonna brush myself off, if you don’t mind and head for that far right corner. Looks as if you already have things under control. May have a few questions as this grow heats up. In the meantime, so stay safe, continue to take care, and be well…mister :honeybee: :100:   NOTE: If I overstay my Welcome, kindly escort me outside and point me in ANY direction :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:!!

smells nice in here my town has a hydroponics store and I picked up some Co2 pads also, that Main stem is getting fat. Reminds me of celery. I haven’t watered it in like 4 days and it seems just fine. Also, the pistols are yellow.

I have a question. With the auto flowers, what extra nutrient are needed to be added? Since the life expectancy is 8 weeks on average. After 3 weeks it shows sex, the nutrients has then been deprived form the pot of soil. So what now for the next 5 weeks? Something simple and effective?

It depends how big the plant grows I use the fox farm trio of nutes, always give half of what it says in the bottle, but if I think the plant is going
To grow extra big I throw the tiger bloom into the mix they get hungry the bigger they get,

This plant Is in a 5 gallon pot, but the breeder recommends 3 gallons. Im using fox farms. Do you think since im using a size up, the plant should thrive until harvest?

Well with this grow im using Fox Farms Ocean Forest on top, Happy Frog on bottom. Fox Farm is super high in Nutes as you know, so I really don’t think I’ll use any nutes until I see deficiencies.

My thinking is do the roots necessarily need to move that freely? If not then that can be waste soil.

Yeah that’s what I’ve been reading as well. I’ll just use the Fox Farm Nutes as needed, but nothing right now.

Plant will be fine. I tend to grow autos in 3 gallon pots start them off in a solo cup first, funny enough I was doing little bit of experimenting with this just to see

I put one seed in a solo cup and one seed in a 3 gallon pot, both seeds had be opened already had a tap root ,2 plants grew the same ,

I’ve grown a lot of autos but my last few grows I’ve had some real small plants, was thinking it had to do with starting them off in solo cups it wasn’t
I think it was just bad genetics in the seeds

Going to try lst new grow see if it makes a difference,I tend to let my autos do their own thing,I only trim off leaves when I need to

Oh ok, yeah I understand about the LSTing. I kinda had to with this one, the leaves were crowding everything at such a young stage.
