First Time (growing legal that is)!

Okay guys, I got a question for you! One (and only one) of the Ghost Dawg girls is showing some strange pigmentation and I’m not sure if it’s from a nutrient problem or genetics? There’s yellow pigmentation in very segmented areas of some of the water leaves. It’s often only 1-2 blades of the leaf that seem affected. I’d be really happy to hear from some of you more knowledgeable guys what you think is up.

Meanwhile, things look to be moving in the right direction and we had sun all day long for a change!

@JohnnyPotseed 's autos started popping today w/10 of 30 above ground. The “Black Creams” are out in front with 8 out of 10, “Blue Maria” and “Ice Cream Morning” are just getting started.

@Budderton 's beauties have been soaking since last night and tails are appearing…with “Lemon Slush” leading the charge w/ 100% after 24 hours. The “Grape Dragon” are huge seeds and have swollen even larger! The "White Apricot Sherbet f3"s and the "Carl’s Shoes f2"s are bringing up the rear.

Right on @Tlander ! I’m happy to hear they’re behaving properly so far. The Grape Dragon F3 is by @BasementBeans , a great Canadian seed maker. I’ve grown a few out. They where short and stubby, with very nice scents and flavours. They are all regs, so expect some males.♂️

Apparently, they DO eat foliage, but with such a tiny mouth it doesn’t do too much damage (unless transmitting virus). Anyway, he was lurking in the girls’ locker-room so I moved him to another part of the nursery!

Quick visual update on the fogger-cloners status…my water is still too warm from the ultrasound, but it still seems to be working. Started adding low level nuts to the water today and will likely up the intensity of the light (24/7 so far). A few of these cuttings had already declared as female, so gotta coax 'em back into veg. Put in air-stone bubblers on a small air pump just to be safe. Been using ‘locally re-packaged’ Clonex solution, so not sure if it’s even the real thing or if it’s been diluted? I have had to toss half a dozen that started to look bad, but overall it’s been pretty successful. Don’t know how the transplant to soil is gonna go, but made it this far!

Hard to tell in the picture of the entire plant if there are more than 1 leaf with this Strange Pigmentation or what is going on.

I would say Strange Pigmentation = Variegation but would have to see the entire plant

Thanks @Maddawg I shouldn’t have used ‘pigmentation’ as it’s a leading statement. I deleted those pictures after I posted them, but made a screengrab…The mis-coloring’s not everywhere but definitely multiple sites. Looked closer today and think it is nutrient-caused. The yellow/green barrier is moving and I can start to see some browning tissues at the leaf edges. Odd, the way it is so clearly divided between individual leaf segments though…really haven’t been hitting them with anything other than organics…maybe tied to the pH 3.5 EM foliars? I’ll try to get a better picture tomorrow.

Thanks @George …I think! I’ll keep an eye on it. Fortunately, that Ghost Dawg’s off to one edge of that grow area, unfortunately I think it’s in about a 30 gallon bag! I’m not seeing any deformity in the leaves (curling, curving) and it seems to be growing just fine, though all the other GD’s that didn’t get LST are much stockier, larger-leaved plants. I guess with it being this far along in the grow I’m gonna let it finish, unless I see it getting worse or spreading to any other plants and then the bag soil can go on some ornamentals of lesser value! I appreciate your guidance! Thanks!

They moved up into about 6-7 gallon airpots this morning (from 1 gal.) Everything I have put in in the last month is likewise taking off with many already starting to declare/flower. I’m okay with that as this run has been mainly for testing strains, prepping soil mixes, etc for the coming loooong season. What was meant to be the ‘Monsoon Hut’ for all the hot gals during rainy season has been cleared out completely for a quick Auto run in 3.5 gal. airpots…and there was just enough room left to convince me to put in a whole bunch of 7 gallons for a ‘plant n’ flower photo period run!

I’ve starting spotting bud rot on the Apricots over the last 3 days and an hour ago called in my foreman & staff and explained that “The Crazy One” has made another crazy executive decision… We’re putting up a new greenhouse to save the current outdoor crop…NOW! Eating my lunch and headed off to the welder’s place! These are the one’s we are replacing (well, that’s how they looked about 12 years ago anyway!)

And here’s what they need to cover;

I think one of the key things one can do with an outdoor grow to make it successful is to spot problems early …and then respond quickly! I was a little slow on spotting the bud rot problem!

But I am super lucky in that my foreman is a GEM! We had a brief discussion about it yesterday before lunch. I went out and bought supplies in the afternoon and we started cutting pipes before quitting for the day. (I had to leave for a 4:20pm appointment - friend’s grand opening of a new dispensary! )

Yesterday;

9 am this morning;

11 am this morning!

And it’s not even supposed to really start raining until 5 pm today!

@Maddawg Did I hear a call for (Kiddie) Bud-porn? Time for a picture-fest! Here’s some of the girls over on the other side of the nursery starting to show their stuff. Mostly a mix of; Moby Dick, Apricots, Ghost Dawg, Karel Haze with a couple odds & ends thrown in. Weird flash lighting from my phone at sunset, but I kinda like it!

And to think the oldest of these (all photo-periods) went into soaks 3 months ago today!

Found some extra room in the Auto grow space in the monsoon hut #1. Lot’s of cool OG’er gifts makin’ a run for it! Thanks guys, you know who you are!
