Thanks bro! It should be pretty clear that I liked what I grew! Think this is the first time in years I have so many plants of a single strain going at once!
I’m pretty sure I tagged them so as to be able to compare your plants from the ones I made last short season. I’m having a hard time remembering what the first ones looked like when they were this old, but they’ve really taken off this last week and the ‘new’ white pots are probably making a big difference!. I think there’s still about 5 more in the E&F tables that’ll get transplanted up next week.
Thanks again for such a great turn-on! Still no new mail last week…I’ll check the PO again on Tuesday.
Lol. Longtime weed😁
Those peshawar plants fit right in over there in Thailand! If you told me they were some sort of Thai, I wouldn’t have known the difference myself.
So true, so true! I’ve been hunting everywhere for the Old Silver Thai female that I was sure I had…today I looked at a tag on one of what I’ve been calling the **Peshawar Joe’**s only to discover it’s the OST! She’s right beside most all the other Peshawar’s and I’ve looked at her (but not her tag!) 50 times in the last few weeks!
Today was a catch-up Monday here, checking all the girls, a little fert here and there. Started trimming back the Durban Hercules OG x Bubblegum, think she;s got a day or two more in her. Lots of stuff in the upper greenhouse right on the edge. Now, at 5 pm, black clouds rolled in and big winds kickin’ up.
We’re still transplanting more palms and catching up on lots of other nursery stock that’s been ignored for too long! Lemon Grove plants are going wild. Snapped a few more shots in the upper greenhouse - probably getting boring, but to me they seem to change daily now. For example, the KD Koh Tao II’s just keep getting darker and darker calyx and the brightly colored pistils really starting to stand out. The A New Hope x Cobra Lips showed the first big change-over into red/brown pistils today.
Another Doc Day and still managed a few hours in the nursery. I gave a buddy about 200 grams of my ‘really good’ budshake the other day as he just bought a mini-washing machine and wanted to try it out…
Ended up w/ 26 grams! It’s still too moist and he was putting it in the freezer when I dropped by today…to drop off another 1.5 kilos of budshake! I think he’s probably considering a larger machine tonight!
Walked out the door today to find these three beauties blooming in the trees beside my path…
@Budderton What’s your thoughts on how much longer these A New Hope x Cobra Lips can go? Yesterday was the first day the pistils took on an over-all darker tint to them.
That upper green house is giving me trim anxiety!!!
Packed with massive colas!
Looking stellar in there for sure!!
Hash loks good! I bet he is ready for a bigger machine.
Hope the rains aren’t giving you to high of humidity…
Looks like all @BobbyBudz gear (along with everyone else’s) is taking to the outdoors well.
Can’t wait to get back and flip the ones I have vegging.
The orchids look amazing too, I need to get down there and walk your garden, so many treasures you have.
The mom ANH i used in that cross was a long seasoned, less common phenotype that went 14 wks but had a super creative, uplifting buzz. I loved the effects from that one! Anyhow, it looks like you’ve got 7-10 more days , judging from the picture. If it takes after the Mom, it will be worth it! And I’m happy to see the Lemon Slush express a bit more normal this go around. Still doesn’t look like a Gelato cross though. Is that LS very aromatic TL?
Cool Tuned! I’d say it is most likely a hybrid created by the nursery. That’s not a species name of any ‘known’ Nepenthes, but hybrid Nepenthes are known for their hetrosis (hybrid vigor). It looks to me like they probably used N. ventrata or N. ventricosa as part of the cross which is a good thing, especially for people just starting with them.
A couple hints; DO NOT fertilize it!!! These plants grow in nutrient-deficient soils and if you fert them the first reaction will be to stop producing new pitchers, With slightly higher amounts they’ll just die! CONSISTENCY Counts! Try to keep light, moisture/humidity and temps very consistent. During ‘dry’ times, use a water-filled tray under the pot. You want the media moist most of the time. And really importantly, don’t transplant into ‘soil’! Use a mixture of coconut cubes/sphagnum moss, small charcoal and perlite or pumice stone. Wet it in a pail overnight so it can absorb water.
Don’t worry about the oldest leaves/pitchers dying…that’s how they grow…new leaves will form at the top as old ones die back at the bottom. You don’t need to ‘feed’ it…it’ll catch it’s own prey (you’ll be surprised when you look inside the pitchers in a few weeks!).
Good luck bro! But watch out - soon you’ll be giving up tent space for your ‘collection’!
Bit of a run-around day, having to pick up a repaired pump, more soil mixins’ and some odd’s & ends. The Lemon Grove plants are exploding! Doubled in size in a week or so with a few plants starting to make little nuggets already! Excited to see how the Mac 1 x AVC compare with each other. This is the first time there will be quite a few of the same strain to look at side-by-side.
I took down one of the DJ Short 90’s BB tonight and last night harvested the Lemon Slush@Budderton that I seeded a couple lower branches of…got about 50 beans! I also hit the Afgoey with more pollen from the (A new Hope x Cobra Lips) . Also hit up a Mac1 x AVC with more pollen from the (A new Hope x Cobra Lips) . There wasn’t enough pollen on the Tirah Valley Peshawar to make it worth re-doing today…maybe tomorrow? Two of the three new Strange Fruit x Joker’s Candy have turned out to be males. And so has one of the 3 Hawaiian Orange Soda from @misterbee . Five outta eight Corey Heime x Blue Kush from @Tuned have popped today! Oh, and I got another 5 female Mac1 x AVC@Wizdom transplanted up into 3 gallon square pots. making 15 or 20 of them now!
Good Evening @Tlander
You are probably already aware of it, but the black fabric on your Floors, would make a very perfect Photo Tarp…
Roughly pin two, 6’ wide sections, 10 feet long each. And you’ve got a 10’ x 11’ tarp
yeah, your rolls may already be Larger… lol & while I’m at it. Attach an 8 or 9’ pole, to each of the top two corners.
Then you can lean them up against things, and the fabric will Hang. I’m thinking the Hoops within the Greenhouses. Then Leaning them against Nature, outside.
Instant studio, which could be dangerous for You. (Wonderful for Us ! )
It will roll-up tidy and be ready for the next use. And being in a roll, you can Adjust the width… I had too, it just became obvious !
Your sleeping, and I have verbal diahrea (sp), it only ensures a continuous effort.
@RomsSwazi Ruz just getting started! The two of these both started out looking ‘stunted/dwarfed’, perhaps my LS mix is too strong for their taste? This week they seem to have finally gotten over whatever the problem was and have darkened up in color and started to flower out.
More transplants, pollinations, ferting and shifting things around today. Hit the Peshawar Joe’s with the Tirah Valley Peshawar pollen again. Saw the first balls forming on the male Peshawar Joe and same on the male Old Silver Thai today. Got 5 more Mac1 x AVC transplanted up into 3 gallon pots and moved 3 seeded females into the upper greenhouse where the have a bit more protection from the still only occasional rains.
Just transplanted the 6 popped of 8 Corey Heime x Blue Kush from @Tuned . Not having ANY luck with the Angola Red - 0 for 10! And only one out of 8 of the God’s Timewarp…gonna give 'em another couple days…
Nice to hear the CH x BK have popped.
As for the others, it’s always a gamble on viability. They were stored in Mason jars in the fridge, maybe the trip around the world? Exposed to heat on the way?
I’ll see if I can dig up something else to send you.
For sure @MissinBissin ! I was just gonna say that it looks like the Cobra Lips combined nicely with that 24 wk Columbian Gold female. I hope it turns out killer for you TL!
